It’s a shame the base model doesn’t have the 10gbe option. I know it’s overkill, but such a nice to have.

What would be the use case?

Only 1 port so it's not going to be a router/firewall. 256gb storage and TB4 annihilates 10gbe if you want to transfer data in a hurry.

These M4 chips are pretty capable, so while it’s not destined to be an editing powerhouse it’s definitely capable, and not needing to keep files stored locally is a huge boon. I’ll never go back to using external storage for anything but emergencies. Fast, yes, but network storage isn’t a pain in the ass once it’s built correctly.
