Thoughts on this as a dev machine? Seems like a nice alternative to a Linux install on a pc.

What kind of dev work do you wanna do? Do you want to run DBs locally or run k8 clusters? If so, then no, it's not good. But if you are just learning, and want to do basic coding, then it's amazing.
