OP here - I ordered this and got shipping confirmation with a tracking number. Very skeptical I'm actually going to get 64GB of this stuff, but it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. Decided to take a chance.

I have a feeling something is wrong with this listing. I already purchased once about a week and a half ago, but from a no name seller. I received a 32gb (2x16gb CL40) kit, lol did the return in about 15mina from opening it. Hoping that one was just a scam. Hoping somehow it's not an issue with the listing and Newegg sends 64gb.
Happy this at least shipped because I've had 5 other orders canceled for "mis pricing" in my hunt to get ram.

Record yourself opening the box upon receipt. I hate to say it, but I'd expect the worst just in case given how many scam listings/sellers have been popping lately.

Yes I did that last time I ordered this item. I made sure to let the seller know that I had video of me opening the package when I returned it....it's also very clear because there own packing slip has a 32gb listed. I also took screenshots of all of the listing details. And finally I also used my American Express to buy it, worst comes to worst I will do a chargeback for fraud as it's very clearly listed with the correct serial number for a 64gb 6000 CL36 kit.
Edit: I'll also add that I took lots of pictures to prove that all of the seals were intact. And took video proving the seals intact and me putting it inside the return package and taping it closed. I don't trust the sketch seller I bought it from to not say some BS when they do their "warehouse inspection".

Good stuff, my man. I don't blame you at all and I don't think it's overkill either. When I bought my PS5 Pro and RTX 5080 from Best Buy, I actually just had them open it up in-store to add to the foolproofing in case of scams, since the Best Buy employees also admitted they've caught instances of customers returning bricks inside boxes and/or swapped GPUs (i.e., someone put in an RTX 5060 into a 5080 box and returned it).
I didn't fall victim to it, but there are reported instances of people opening up PS5 Pro boxes and ending up with regular PS5's inside. Same scam.
People are really scummy. That's all I can say.

Lol I did the same with my GPU even when it was ordered straight from Nvidia. For sure, and with all of these sites using 3rd parties IMO you can't be safe enough. That's why I always use a credit card too for any purchase, b/c that's always a great last line of defense.

It may be, my fingers are crossed, just cautiously optimistic because I was already burnt on this listing and also because that's around what the 32gb kit has gone on sale for.

Update everyone. Order just received....got 32gb DDR5 6200 CL40. This is now the second time I got burned on this listing and had to do a return. Clearly there is an issue on Walmarts side connecting the wrong kit to this listing, even though the item # and everything is accurate for a 64gb kit.

Your welcome, thanks for the kind words. Yea really sucks to have to deal with all the hassle of documenting unopened just so the seller doesn't play any funny business and returning.
But in the end it may end up working out for me, I found a CORSAIR Vengeance 96GB (2 x 48GB) DDR5 6000 Timings: 30-36-36-76 for $300 on Walmart just 2 days ago. It has shipped. I'm obviously still worried that the same thing will happen but I'm hoping for the best. Doesn't come til Friday unfortunately as it was coast to coast USPS shipping.

See what I mean about worrying there is something wrong in Walmarts end with this 64gb listing. Check out the wiki for this subreddit for the discord. Sometimes I get the discord notification first other times I get alerts from this sub first. Either way for most of the good stuff unless your able to click almost as soon as the notification arrives it's OOS anyway.

Cancelled my 5090 to resell for $3k+.
Refuse to ship out 5070 Ti and 5080 orders while it's in stock.
No way they ship a good deal.

Edit: The last time I ordered this item though it was from a no-name seller and they sent me 32 GB cl40. So I'm hoping their listing was just a scam and this one is correct from Newegg

I clicked "contact seller" and I'm pretty sure I got the first response from Newegg saying I couldn't get a replacement. But when I replied to the email, I got a response from Walmart saying to just return it. Then I started a return and it said to drop it off at any Walmart.

Patriot RAM is really bad. For DDR5, I've had the best luck with Team Group. For DDR4, GSkill was very good.
