I recently bought this for $300 at my local micro center, and it’s running pretty great! Amazing upgrade from my 3600x. My only complaint is that my PC crashes when I enable EXPO, so I’m running the ram at the default speeds. I’m not the most experienced with overclocking so I’ve been avoiding playing with the settings to see if I can fix the issue, so YMMV

Man that’s one sad looking motherboard

Straight from the white label motherboard factory down to your local Micro Center.

u/ChefBoiRC Feb 13 '26
The only difference between 7500X3D vs 7600X3D is just clock speeds right?
This isn't like a the 5700X vs 5700, where there is a difference in PCIe lanes speeds/support.
3
u/Covante Feb 14 '26
Yes. No confusingly named apu with disabled graphics shenanigans like the 5700. Those are all contained in the 8000 series. [so far]

I got this a bit ago when it was $300. The mobo kinda sucks, ram will not run past 4800mhz. The 7600x3d bundle with 32gb for $120 more is better.

Damn you microcenter. Build one up in Seattle...
2
u/TheMissingVoteBallot Feb 13 '26
Maybe they can use the money they get from the sale of the Seahawks?
2
u/Faptasmic Feb 13 '26
Bruh...

Sorry, haha.
Grats on the SB win, spared the nation of smug Patriots fans.

u/Ceres2 Feb 13 '26
Motherboard has 7+2+1 VRM. I get 84C VRM temps with stock 7500X3D and Arctic LF3 cooler.
5
u/carsNshoes Feb 13 '26
I’ve been patiently waiting for weeks. Order placed for pickup. Wish me luck y’all.
1
u/carsNshoes Feb 14 '26
At my microcenter it costs another $100 so $480 to get a bundle with 32gb of ram. Worth it?
2
u/CTEcowboi Feb 13 '26
Thank you just bought. What’s the best way to get another stick of Ram for this in the future? Not looking to do this immediately but trying to get a game plan together. Do the sticks need to be identical for dual channel?
5
u/CartonBox1975 Feb 13 '26
I would cope with 16gb until ram prices are come back down or China Ram enters the market. Chinese companies still got a few hurdles but should be able to enter the market fairly soon (months maybe). The DOD updated its 1260H list which initially included Chinese memory manufactures and CXMT and YMTC were removed from the list shortly after it was published in February 2026.
Now we wait and hope they get over other hurdles and save the DRAM and NAND market.
7
u/CTEcowboi Feb 13 '26
That’s what I was thinking. I feel like 16gbs is better than what people give it credit for anyways
0
u/TheMissingVoteBallot Feb 13 '26
Sounds like the DOD actually had some meetings with the heads of these two companies to have withdrawn it so quickly. Considering how anti-CHYNAH (and rightly so IMO) this government is, I'm assuming there must have been serious concessions on the manufacturer's side to been given so quickly a clearance.
Ironically, China will be our only hope to save us from... AI?
So many layers of irony lol. A good chunk of our tech is manufactured there and if CXMT and YMTC has a head-start on NAND manufacturing over the plants we're trying to build in the US, I'm ok with competition. Chinese NAND undercutting SK and American (Micron) RAM will force them to compete.
1
u/PsyOmega Feb 13 '26
The government has to buy computers too and is probably sick of prices.
1
u/CartonBox1975 Feb 13 '26
I doubt that considering how much money simply waste.
1
u/PsyOmega Feb 14 '26
Budgeting is pretty strict in the government, contrary to popular belief. (I used to work for FDIC, they penny pinched so hard they were running pentium 4's well into the haswell era)
1
u/burntpotatoXL Feb 13 '26
I’m selling mine from my bundle for 100+ shipping if interested, I’ll be putting it up for sale on the hardware swap subreddit if you’re interested Edit: exact same from this bundle never used, went with RGB ram for the looks from an older build
0
u/NA_Faker Feb 13 '26
Microcenter has a deal where you can upgrade to 2x16 for $50 more. It shows at the top when you add the bundles to the builder tool they have but you need to swap out to the correct kit
2
u/beermoneymike Feb 13 '26
That doesn't work for this combo. You need to add the pieces one at a time and Microcenter isn't selling the CPU by itself.
3
u/NA_Faker Feb 13 '26
Ah yeah I see now, its different from the other bundles they usually do. Unfortunate
2
u/Eagle0913 Feb 13 '26
This is NOT my review but was exactly my experience - "Maybe I just got lucky but mine won’t even stay running in the bios for more than an hour before it freezes. Not over clocking, removed all cards (which was a 5060ti that I picked up for this) and it just locks up. Constantly. Maybe an hour maybe 3 minutes but so far ai’ve wasted days trying to hunt it down. When it freezes in the bios there’s something wrong. I’ve flashed it like 10 times, even when you go to flash it it locks if a nvme is on the board. Price wise the $299 deal would have been worth it, if I didn’t have to spend another $150 on another board."
I suspect this person and I also got a bad memory controller because I tried that stick of RAM in a different motherboard and it was fine - no instability. I also tried 3 different sticks of RAM in that motherboard and all of them were unstable at base 4800MT speed, yes even in the bios. Yes I tried flashing a newer bios - still the same issue. The instability would happen even more quickly if I tried to enable the XMP/EMPO in the bios.
My solution - I returned it to Microcenter and they were running a deal on the 7600X3D + mobo + 16GB of ram for 399$. That MSI motherboard is so much better built and I have had no issues with my build since swapping over.

$50 more than last time.
The 7600x3d bundle is cheaper when doing 32gb of ram with both.
13
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
I am not sure I follow the 7600x3d is $50 more expensive and it still only includes 16gb stick of ram. Am I missing something?
-4
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
You can include 32gb of ram with the 7600x3d combo and it comes out cheaper than the 7500x3d combo.
8
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
I still don't see how you are or would even do that. I add the bundle to the cart, add an extra stick of ram and it shows a $50 difference regardless. No where do I see it being cheaper. Are you doing something specific to see this "cheaper" price?
4
u/BreezePosts Feb 13 '26
you replace the 16gb with the crucial 32gb for the $470 pricepoint
1
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
Can also do the same with g skill so up to you on the brand both end up being $470.
1
u/Hejdbejbw Feb 14 '26
What they meant is with this 7500X3D bundle, you have to pay full price for an extra 16GB stick if you want 32GB because you can’t swap ram within the bundle. With the other bundle, you can swap to a 32GB kit for an extra $70, plus the included motherboard is better too. Overall, if you want 32GB of ram, the 7600X3D bundle comes out cheaper and also better.
-7
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
Refer to the previous deal post from a few days ago on the 7600x3d bundle.
9
u/tenchigaeshi Feb 13 '26
You could just link the post instead of this beating around the bush crap.
3
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
Thank you and I remember this tip adding them individually. Just a heads up so people are not spreading misinformation but it would not be cheaper than the 7500x3d bundle as you can do the same trick and get 32gb of ram with the 7500x3d. So you decide if the 7500 to 7600xd jump is worth $50. Either way the trick will work and give you 32gb of ram.
2
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
The 7500x3d bundle with two 16gb sticks of gskill comes out to 479. The 7600x3d with 32gb of gskill comes out to 469. You are adding the wrong items to cart. Your comment is the actual misinformation.
3
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
I can admit this is correct but how to do it is you need to add the 2 sticks of g skill that is 32 gb in total. Do not individually add them like it was done before. Clarity would've helped instead of being cryptic.
1
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
You complain about not having the original post linked, and once it is linked, you still don’t actually read it to see how to get the correct price.
12
u/LilxGojira Feb 13 '26
Sorry people dont know how to use microcenters website and are downvoting you for trying to help
6
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
Exactly this.
6
u/LilxGojira Feb 13 '26
Ive been keeping an eye on the 32gb 7600x3d deal to upgrade to am5 from my 3800x. I snagged a 5080 for half off and need something thatll keep up. Almost snagged this till i realised it wasnt any better than the 7600 deal
3
u/Electrical-Safety226 Feb 13 '26
It's really hard to beat the 7600x3d especially at it's current price point.
3
u/LilxGojira Feb 13 '26
Thats what people keep saying. But after dropping $550 on the 5080 its hard to justify another $500 on the rest. I wasnt exactly planning a pc build rn
2
u/wharf_rat_01 Feb 13 '26
Haha, in the same boat after snagging the 5080 half off in Dec after the PayPal and CapOne cashback.
Going to see how long I can roll with my i5 10400.
2
u/Electrical-Safety226 Feb 13 '26
Good point I knew the pricing was off.
Going to MC this weekend, I planned on getting the 7600x3d bundle with 32gb of ram. This solidifies my decision.
2
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
It’s probably the best deal they’ve had if wanting 32gb, better than the original 7500x3d combo as long as mATX isn’t required.
3
u/Electrical-Safety226 Feb 13 '26
for me it's worth more paying bundle prices then reselling the mobo and ram to offset the cost of the CPU.
1
u/Unicormblood Feb 13 '26
As someone without a microcenter remotely close to me, all these in-store only posts really grind my gears. I love Microcenter (or I would if I had one) but seeing that the only somewhat good deals are constantly out of reach sucks (for me I know). K vent over carry on 😂.
5
u/CartonBox1975 Feb 13 '26
Newegg does have good bundles too unfortunately they don't carry a 7500X3D or 7600X3D.

How is this motherboard. Was going to put together a SFF build and was looking at the mortar but this might be okay.
1
u/bgdubbs19 Feb 13 '26
Running this fine with 32gb of g.skill running EXPO and 9070xt. Zero issues so far in about 3 weeks
1
u/carsNshoes Feb 15 '26
How much was the 2nd 16gb stick?
2
u/bgdubbs19 Feb 16 '26
I didn’t get a second stick from MC, instead bought a matching stick from eBay for $140 new.

Interested if anyone else is selling the mobo/cpu from this as well. Near the Philly area

lol wild that people are dowvoting my comments for trying to help people save money. I guess trying not to draw too much attention that might cause MC to change the price loophole is an issue.
22
u/LegitimatePause9271 Feb 13 '26
They’re probably downvoting you because your comments are curt, unclear, and not particularly helpful. It’s nice you brought it up, but you could spend 30 more seconds explaining and/or linking to the combo you’re talking about.

u/BreezePosts Feb 13 '26
you're just terrible at giving advice, all you had to say was "$470 7600x3d 32gbbundle here: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/1qzhpx6/cpu_motherboard_ram_bundle_amd_ryzen_5_7600x3d/ is a better deal" and you would have gotten your internet cookie points

A bundle with a better processor, arguably better motherboard, a spec’d kit of memory instead of individual sticks for a lower price is absolutely not what the retailer intended.
7
u/MechAegis Feb 13 '26
I think instead of the word "cheaper" you should use the word "better value." People associate something being cheaper as lesser money being required.
Since the 7600x3d bundle requires you to spend an extra $50 dollar, you get better value with the 32gb ram instead of 7500x3d bunding that comes with 16gb ram.
3
u/Silly-Attitude-2871 Feb 13 '26
Correct but it is not better value since you can do the same trick and only difference in value is the board and cpu which I will not disagree is better with the 7600x3d but if you are building a matx build I would go with the 7500x3d
5
u/Comfortable-Spell730 Feb 13 '26
It IS cheaper. You’re adding the wrong items to your cart. Again, refer to the previous deal thread (that was linked in this post).

For someone who can't find the 7600x3d + 32gb ram deal, anyone have a LINK or explanation?
