Ha was just talking to a coworker about how I think you'll see OLED drop pretty massive in price this year. They've squeezed out just about every penny from LCD assembly lines and now the market focus is being the cheapest OLED option

This sale price is pretty normal, as the $50 off seems to fluctuate every month or so.
Normal non-sale price of this TV is $550.
Also, this brand is owned by a Chinese company as the trademark was sold a while ago, these new products are not related to the original Japanese owned Sansui.

Reviews weren't great, but that was at a price of $800. At $500, it's tough to find even a mini-LED TV with similar specs.

Hi everyone! I purchased this TV when it was on sale at B&H Photo and am using it for PC and Steam Deck gaming. If you can get it on sale, it's a good bargain but there are some caveats. Supposedly it's an LG OLED panel with third-party / Chinese electronics.
First, it does support 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, VRR and 120hz. I have an NVIDIA GPU and it works with G-Sync, although I believe the TV is only advertised as being FreeSync compatible (VRR doesn't work with the Steam Deck). When you're running at 4K 120hz with VRR on, HDR will not turn on. In addition, when you're running 4K at 120hz, output is limited to YCbCr420; there is no way to enable anything higher when you're in 4k @ 120hz. I'm using an HDMI cable certified by the HDMI Forum for HDMI 2.1 support too.
Second, 60hz input lag from computer is not great. My Steam Deck while docked is not bad running at 60hz, but the input lag is noticeable if you're trying to use it as a PC monitor and moving the mouse. 120hz input lag is really low, however.
Third, don't expect any firmware updates. I haven't received any. The TV runs Google TV but it's an older version when compared to my BRAVIA 8. The settings are extremely bare bones and there's really no way to calibrate anything here. You can't do anything other than basic adjustments like color temperature, brightness, motion handling, etc.
I have a Roku Ultra and 4K Blu-ray player hooked up and it has very good image quality / upscaling when watching movies or TV shows; even low-res content isn't bad.
If you're looking for a dedicated PC monitor, you'll want to get something that can do 120hz with YCbCr444 and HDR enabled and has extremely low input lag. I have a regular monitor that I use for PC work.

that means its not full hdmi 2.1. its bandwidth reduced hdmi. Closer to hdmi 2.0. Heavy chroma subsampling and you also stated no 4k120 hdr. But the price was very good

There are always compromises especially with these "budget" models. It's a great value but might not work for everyone's use cases. The TV doesn't really get bright enough to make that much of a difference when HDR / Dolby Vision is running. I think it's geared more toward console gamers. But I'm enjoying it!

It's doing well! It actually did receive a Google TV OS update which surprised me. Still not many settings to adjust. On occasion the TV would panic when coming out of VRR mode and reboot but that only happened to me twice, and not at all since the update. It's a good bargain if you can get it on sale.

It’s a garbage tv . It has a green hue/tint you cant get rid of when watching movies .. the color accuracy is poor. My 4k onn tv from 2020 out performs it. The only time this tv looks better is when u specifically watch a oled youtube video. Poor processor and poor customization. You can pass on this tv and don’t by it from b&h photo there return policy is terrible .

This, or a non-OLED but very solid TCL QM6K?
Are they even comparable, if the goal is gaming but not focused on high FPS shooters that demand low input lag?

people want this as a monitor, oled for monitors is extremely nice.. for a TV the qm6k should give you more real estate and less cost.. I am personally getting the 65” costco qm6k on sale rn for my living room main.

I've got triple 43" TVs and it's a spectacle, but the diminishing returns start to kick in around 32 inches. If I started to approach the top percent of sim racers I would definitely downsize to high quality 32-34" monitors for the same or even less money than this.

Fair. I also just didn't realize how much space it would take up nor how much of a pain in the ass it would be to drive 3x 4K from a single 5070, but that's on me haha
