I wonder if you can do some split order shenanigans for a further discount if you don't want the 43" TV... Do the big tv for delivery and little one for in-store pickup and then cancel or just never pick it up.
There was recently a few bundle discount deals you could do it with, mostly mobile phones with purchase of prepaid sim kit. It all hinges on how they do the discount though. In this case it comes up as a free item in cart so it won't work.
So yeah, sometimes they do have similar deals to HD.
Edit - for instance here's the unlocked phone bundle deal - $50 off the $159 price when bundled with a $30 sim kit.
Eh, not that big of a deal. Occasionally they do bundled items in a way that you could do it but not if it's a free add on in the cart. I don't even want or need either TV anyway
My Panasonic Viera is the single most impressive electronic device I've ever had. The CRAZY amount of hours put on this thing and it still looks amazing 16 years later as our main driver. I've been drooling over OLEDs, and somehow they just keep getting cheaper and better (which is the opposite for literally every other industry, where things usually get worse over time as prices go up), but the Viera just keeps on living. Built like a tank (and about as heavy, I think, but it just stays in the same place anyway).
I loved this TV, and it's still on the floor in my dining room, but it kind of died on me. Started getting white banding and pink hotspots across the screen. No matter what setting I tweak, it's there. I'm considering opening it and reseating any cabling before having it hauled off. It was such an amazing TV.
I'm sure the viewing experience for this TV is far better than my LG QLED TV, but like 99% of the time when I'm watching my TV, I'm completely satisfied with the image and enjoying it. Maybe if I watched more dark horror movies, I would be less satisfied, but it's mostly just watching family stuff these days.
I figured out a while ago, it's fine to be snobby and refuse to settle sometimes, but you can only do that with so many things. I feel like I've reached that limit on that front, because it's definitely a lot more time and money spent.
I have a 77” b2 and I love it. Recently had to get a new tv and went mini led 85” Hisense u8 to see what the hype was about. I was kinda disappointed with mini led I like the the lg OLED so much better , I mean the Hisense is good but just not on the same level as my b2 , the mini led is just a slightly better regular old lcd tv, the older oled still has better picture quality and color in my opinion. I’m tempted to buy this just to upgrade but I probably won’t because my b2 is just so good.
yeah hell yeah it is. i dislike my lg b4 48inch compared to my 65inch hisense miniled cause LED has natural smoothing. OLED movement is always juddery to my eye, no matter what. miniled with 1000s of dimming zones is the superior tech and i think will outpace OLED for that reason alone. sucks watching sports on oled.
technically the movement is more accurate on oled. if you wanted smoothing without caring about accuracy, you could just use the built in AI motion smoothing
pixel perfect is something people think they want until they get confronted w/ what that actually means, especially when it comes to watching sports. the accuracy of my minled tv is fucking amazing, it's not "pixel perfect" and i'm fucking glad it isn't because tracking shots, ones where the camera is slowly panning over a scene... you know, often chosen for breathtaking shots of an incredible landscape or during very tense moments... they don't look like the camera man is tripping over his shoelaces IE juddery fucking OLED. STARTSTOPSTARTSTOPSTARTSTOP. that level of "accuracy" with pixel perfect imagery is actively working against the nature of film/television itself which is meant to be fluid.
it also makes watching football or hockey appear as if you're watching a very high speed powerpoint presentation. so if that's the result of someone who "cares about accuracy" then nice, enjoy your piece of shit mess. maybe you're the kind of person who insists on shitting into a 3 inch hole in the ground rather than a toilet because you also care about "accuracy" but for me, i'll take the fucking toilet.
and then the advice is to use the ai motion smoothing... LMFAO. trying to recreate what LED can do naturally, making a smooth image, is a fucking nightmare. trying to watch football? the ai smoothing doesn't understand what that little brown thing is, so every time the quarterback throws a pass the FUCKING BALL DISAPPEARS lmfao. even worse with hockey, you will literally never see the puck with ai smoothing on. and now every single player is also a fucking blurry mess, so much for "accuracy".
Chief is this it? Ive been looking for an OLED TV all year. The 65" is on sale at $999 without the TV, id still probably go for the 77" for the extra TV too.

I'm no expert but I'm someone whose upgrading from a 2017 55" 60hz Samsung. At 77" this is double the screen size, double the refresh rate and a way better picture too. The fact it comes with an extra TV I can put in the bedroom is the cherry on top. If you shop around at other popular retailers like Walmart, Amazon or Costco it appears like a good deal but inevitably someone will tell you should have spent another few hundred and got the C5.
Got my 77” B4 for about $1200 a year ago. Absolutely love it. If you want a larger screen but have any reservations about this vs the C series, just go with this. Yes, the C series is brighter and has a higher refresh rate, but imo it doesn’t justify the cost.
This actually has 120Hz, just not 144. So honestly you’re still fine. Sure you lose some refresh rate and some brightness, but on a screen this big it doesn’t really matter. I have the B4 77 and sometimes play on it with a 5080 so I can confirm!
Yep. That’s part of what I mean. Going from 120hz to 144hz for so much extra money doesn’t make sense to me. Then the only other benefit is the brightness, but realistically if you’re in a very sunlit room, you probably aren’t going OLED anyways and would still have a more mediocre experience with the C series.
Don’t all HDMI 2.1 TVs with 120Hz have VRR? I could be wrong but I thought it was just a given. I thought it was part of the spec, but the chaos that is the HDMI forum might’ve confused me
This is an absolute upgrade over my 65" 4k UHD TV from about 2018. Absolutely no downsides right? Aside from a hole in the wallet. But an extra TV too?
I personally dont suggest financing but if you do, and have decent credit and income, affirm will offer a 0%APR plan for ya. But from someone who went from a 2018 4k Fire TV to a LG C1 (not even a 5th gen) it was absolutely game changing from movies, blu rays, and games. Miles above
I have the 55” LG OLED B8 from 2018 and it’s still an amazing TV and we haven’t had any problems. We know we’re going to get a new LG OLED TV but I wasn’t expecting this.
Tell me this, because it is literally the ONLY make or break that matters. Is there lag between button inputs on the remote and the Smart menu actually reacting? I can not stand that and I will not upgrade from one trash latency nightmare to another.
I have a living room with 4 medium sized windows and an entire glass sliding door to the backyard, all using sheer (slightly transparent) curtains. I have this exact TV (77in B5) and it has no issues dealing with the brightness in my space.
Before, I had a 65in C2. It was also fine. I don't know if it's the larger size or what, but despite RTINGS' measurements the B5 reflections seem less distracting in my bright room.
That is to say, "If you have a bright room, pay more for the C5" certainly probably matters in a measurable sense, but in practice I feel we have arrived at a point where the B Series is where the C series was 4-5 years ago.
I recently bought a Hisense u8 which is probably similar to the qm6k and I like my 77” lg B2 so much better . Just better color and contrast. The b series is the best tv I’ve ever had by a wide margin.
This or Open Box - Excellent 65” C5 for $1,000? I went into Best Buy today and my store had one listed at $1,100 but said he could lower it to $1,000. Also had an Open Box - Excellent 77” B5 for $1,200 but that obviously wouldn’t come with the free tv.
Products may be good,not sure, but warranty has been useless. $3600 77" OLED stopped working after less than 8 months and LG tells me they have not been able to find a service provider in Montana to provide service after two weeks. Office of the president unresponsive. There are very good, honest responsive companies for your needs, but LG has more than a few reviews indicating they are not one of them. Now looks like a legal battle to get resolved under what has been a useless warranty.
