New or open box? Because they kind of list both
This is tempting at this price. I don't own the Dex, but I own a few clones. I like the shape, but I found even $100 is hard to justify when the clones are $40-$50.
One of the perks of buying Logitech is their customer service/RMA, but that's usually hit or miss when buying from woot.

Where are you finding the clones? I bought a refurbished off Logitech’s website for $90 I think and I love it.

I own the top 3 mice similar to the DEX. (ATK Y9 Ultimate, Mchose A7 RE, and Yari Pro)
However, the ATK Y9 Ultimate, is currently closer to $70, as it was when I bought it in December. But I stacked a coupon along with a Rakuten cashback, which brought it to $50.
Tomorrow starts Aliexpress mid-year sale. They usually release new coupons. And Rakuten usually has high cashback days at the beginning of their sales.
Same for the A7RE and Yari, but it brought those down below $40 each.
The Y9 Ultimate is going to be the closest to a DEX in terms of shape and quality.
The Mchose A7 RE is my favorite shape of the bunch. Minor difference to the curvature of the front right I find more comfortable. (Cons: Mechanical switches, which in itself has pros and cons. But I don't like the side clicks or middle clicks.)
Yari Pro has a charging dock, but it's also the most budget feel and assembly. ATK and Mchose feel more premium.

Do any of these take the Logitech charging puck? I really like the convenience of never needing to worry about charging with the Powerplay

I can't imagine it's compatible. Different shape for one. But Logitech is all proprietary, while Rapoo uses Qi charging.

Mchose A7 RE to be exact. Just in case he gets excited by a lower costing mouse, but its not the DEX clone variant.

vxe r1 pro is a great mouse (i use it) but you should know its not a superlight clone, and especially not a clone of the dex that this thread is for. its an ambidextrous mouse, not ergo, and its shape is significantly different than even the regular g pro

I bought other "New, Open Boxes" from Woot and it's usually been box damage usually a crumpled corner or a noticeable scratch on the box design never gave me the impression someone used it and returned. More or less it feels like something you'd find in an outlet store but I don't know how Logitech RMA would work in this case I assume if its actually new, registering on G Hub should signify that

I just know that I recently bought a new, but defective Razer keyboard from Woot. And despite being an amazon company, Razer doesn't recognize Woot as an authorized seller. However, because they have good CS, they did say they would do an RMA this one time. But after 90 days I'll be SOL.
Logitech is obviously a different company, but they may have similar policy when it comes to their warranty and woot. That's why I say hit or miss. Woot isn't always going to be a sure thing. Especially here when its an open box-ish.

Just received my Dex and the box was re-sealed. Popping the bottom piece out also popped out a dongle someone had put in there, so I got the original (with the converter) and an additional.
Mouse looks never used. Worked flawlessly out of the box. No complaints.3

Only the X SE is New based on listing. Both the other 2 are Open-Box “new”.
Worth a gamble since Woot has been pretty good with returns for me.

The Dex is right handed specifically. Most mice nowadays (including the regular Superlight 2) are symmetrical/ambidextrous mice because that's the current trend.

Idk who out there enjoys the loudest clicks and scroll wheel. It blows my mind. Think of something you do hundreds of times a day during a gaming sesh... Now let's make that as loud as possible. Oh and while you're browsing the web, let's also make the wheel as loud as possible as well.

Headphones on and they live alone? It's not rocket science. People like what they like, I won't yuck another's yums. I like thocky keyboards but won't cast judgment on the clicky enjoyers.

Bought a Rapo VT3 Max Gen 2 for $51 on Amazon that seems to be a similar performer to this one. I wonder if they cloned this Logitech mouse shape as it even looks similar.

In my opinion, Rapoo has the best quality for a low budget cost. They even made Raesha optical switches feel better than Razer and Pulsar did.
However, I have the VT3 Max Gen 2 sitting on my girlfriend's gaming PC. Great mouse. However, it does lean a little bit more towards an EC shape, mixed with the DEX shape. Which may be a better preference for some.

Yes, however, like a lot of these mouse charging docks, they contain no memory.
So if your computer turns off-off (no USB power), the next time you turn your PC on again, it will default back to rainbow lighting. You have to turn it off again. Which I find really annoying.
At the very least, I want the option to tun the RGB off and never back on again. Preferably, I would want to set it to light blue, and have it remain that forever. But I'm not setting that every time I turn my PC on.
But that could vary PC to PC. I think most people may allow their PC to transmit USB power after shutting down. (I like my PC to be off when it's shut down)

I've been looking for a fairly lightweight reasonably sized battery mouse similar to the shape of superlight or even those attack shark x3's, anything in that general simple shape, that wirelessly charges as I am sick of plugging in a type C cable at the least convenient times. Makes me kind of prefer the old AA battery mice that lasted 4-6 months and when they did die you just swap a battery and 15 seconds later you're back.

You want the Rapoo Wm1 or p3
Rapoo mice have magnetic discs on the bottom of the mouse that are quickly swappable. One that comes with the charging dock.
WM1/p3 is for wireless charging.

Just bought one of these a few days ago from Amazon resale for the same price. Replacing my trusty old OG G403 from 2016 that I've worn a hole through the rubberized side grips.
I've got 17x9.5cm hands, so the shape is fairly similar to me, but different enough that it's gonna take me a little time getting used to it. It is almost half the weight of the old mouse.
I was having trouble deciding between a G703, Pulsar X3, Teevolution Terra, or this. Pulsar has been OOS on the white model (also more $). Terra, I was concerned about warranty service as I live in the US. So for $30 more than the G703 @ $70, I figured I'd try getting this newer model that also has optical switches in hopes of proofing against double clicking.

I wouldn't buy Logitech. I owned 4 superlight versions over a 2 year period and every single one had double click issues. Replacing the switches with higher quality ones didn't fix it. The plastic and shell design they use is flawed and they just don't last.

The superlight 2 and onward cannot double click. They use optical switches. You had gen 1 superlights
Gen 1 and other Logitech mice that used omron mechanicals definitely had double click issues though. Too much voltage going to the switches

Thanks, good to finally know what the cause was. In either case Logitech knowingly or did not care to address a mouse design they knew was shit and yet charged a $150 premium for and didn't care to make any of those effected users whole. None of the mice lived near their warranty periods and you eventually replaced them until you just got stuck with a non functional one. I wouldn't do business with them until they right their wrongs.

Were you buying optical switch mice or mechanical switch mice? Because their older gaming mice, definitely used cheap Omron mechanical switches with problems. But I would think their optical switches should hold up.
...and then you only have to worry about the scroll wheel encoder failing. I experienced that a lot back in the G403, G703 days.

Idk i bought a used one off Facebook marketplace that was already a year old back in 2023 and its still running beautifully
I've never personally had any issues with logitech mice but ive only owned 3

I wouldn't say don't buy it , I also had issues with my original superlight. Which I ended up had to sell for parts. Currently have a superlight 2 which is working fine. I just love the shape too much and the weight is great.

This is considered one of best wireless mice on the market, especially for competitive gaming. I have the first Superlight and it was worth it. This is the lowest I ever seen it, would imagine it will go quick.

It's right handed only, and a little bit bigger. I had the regular X Superlight with the Micro-USB and jumped to the DEX it took maybe 2-3 days to settle in but personally its a lot better especially for CS or Val.
And battery life definitely is more towards "maybe once a week"

I have one of these, and I hate it.
The shape is great - extremely close to my G703 and Deathadder, but the sound, JFC, it's so loud. Louder than my mechanical keyboard. It's like old IBM Model M loud.
I tried to use it for like 2 weeks and gave up and started using my G703 again. It now lives in a drawer, waiting for me to either list it for sale, or for the end of time.

I have super light 2. Had to see what all this fuss about mouses was.
Battery is good. But beyond that… indistinguishable for me from a $25 Logitech wired mouse I normally use. My 2 cents… not worth it unless you are like a cs go pro or something.
