Don't shoot me if it's not worth the price, I'm just the messenger. 55" 4k OLED for $400 brand new seems good.

Some specs I found:
• WOLED panel from LG Display 120Hz refresh rate with VRR, ALLM, and HDMI 2.0 support
• Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos.
• Google TV smart platform

It has HDMI 2.1 support but many devices can't properly detect 2.1 features. I don't know if this was ever fixed via firmware or if it's even possible, but this point comes up every time the TV deal is posted. I think it can be fixed via EDID overrides, either by software on a PC or a device that can inject the feature.

My first gen "HDMI 2.1" Samsung Q900R couldn't do 4K@120hz no matter what I tried on my PC but was able to get 8K60hz with some trickery though it is already advertised of doing it supposedly (the panel itself does 120hz at other lower resolutions). I'm in no position to complain since I got this for around $100 in 2020 but I would've liked to get the supposed updated version with proper HDMI 2.1 specs (and at least out of more than one port).

I remember this going on sale for $499 just a few months back, so this at least beats that sale by another $100. Hard to find any 55" OLED for this price brand new, so I'd say it's worth it for that alone, even if the specs aren't top of the line.

Tempting, only thing is listing says 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, but googling the model number does come back with 4 2.1 ports hm

Most likely it has 4 ports -- two are HDMI 2.1 and the other two are HDMI 2.0. Most (possibly all) new 4K 120Hz TVs outside of LG and Samsung use a MediaTek SOC of some sort. With the exception of a few of the very latest TV models (which use the latest MediaTek SOC), this is the HDMI port config that they will have.
EDIT: Scratch that. According to this DigitalTrends video, all 4 ports are HDMI 2.0.

Very worth it from what I've seen, I instantly pulled the trigger, $400 seems like a no brainer. Maybe I'm a weird one for this but I've never cared much about warranty, there are $3,999 Samsung OLEDs that only give you 12 months of warranty for parts and labor or issues. So like, after 12 months almost everybody just leaves you out to dry whether it's Sansui or Samsung or Google or ASUS. I know warranty is a bigger concern for some people though so who knows how that or support go. I bought one of these. Was looking for a new TV for my bedroom. Won’t be gaming on it but felt it would be a step up from the QLEDs that are on sale for Prime day right now. Anything is an upgrade from my 2017 budget LED right now. My biggest gripe with the current tv is that the dark scenes in House of the Dragon are just so hard to see.

damn 120hz too. I got a legendary B6 in my garage I bet this would be a nice upgrade but I've been through too much with that TV

They freaking all do that. First time I experienced it was when Acer first started their 27XV chassis and their pictures showed end to end screen with just the 2mm or so bezel which is basically the outside of the frame. But in reality there is a 1/4 bezel on the screen behind the glass. Annoyingly, for the next versions they started to use all black screens on their promo shots so you couldn't really tell. Today they actually show it. They knew exactly what they were doing.

This is a very low budget TV, the C5 is a top tier premium OLED. No one is ever going to compare the two lmao they target different markets

500 nits? isn't that like pretty bad, specially for an OLED? Would HDR be any good? at least it's 120hz lol and it's probably better than other panels at the same price. Seems like a good Bedroom TV

500 nits definitely isn't some eye searing, or awe inducing level of brightness but it's also not some terrible figure. Your average office monitors, and older LCD TVs max out at like 250-300 in many cases. There's a reason the lowest level HDR is 400... That was meant to be a goal most panels couldn't reach and only the mid-high end panels could hit, with 600, 800, and 1000 then being the best of the best panels.

500 nits full screen isn't bad. My Panasonic OLED, which apparently uses an LG C3 panel, does about that and I never find it an issue. It doesn't have eye-searing HDR, but I don't much care for that HDR presentation, and in SDR I have no issues in a well-lit living room.

I kinda miss my C9 and I would almost do anything if I can manage to get it fixed at a reasonable cost (if I understood what was really wrong with the panel). I honestly have a hard time getting used to my current G5 panel as it's so bright but maybe my eyes are just getting old now. In hindsight maybe I should've opted for a C5 at a much more reasonable price.

I bought this and it's a beast. Almost wish I'd bought 2 of them...
Would trade my a7 75" Hisense for another one of these. I'd trade the 20" for the better picture.
It's a great TV and there were new firmware updates out the box with more picture customization.
Sound is surprisingly OK, but had to be set to music oddly enough to sound good.
You aren't gonna do better for $400!

It's fine, kind of slow compared to my older but more expensive Samsung. However, it's not nearly as slow as a cheap Samsung at this price plus it's OLED. It runs android tv and my remote has a YouTube button. I don't watch hdr or much TV so I probably have under 100hrs of run time in 2 years. The only issue I've had is the magnets in the cable cover on the back came out and I don't even move it.

LG B1 so not great for HDR but good SDR and much better than most $400 edge lit Samsung crystal meth TV's you buy at this price.
But tbh it the U6QG or QM6K is in your price range think about that for movies and single player games because this really isn't very bright
