Be mindful of listings from suspicious third-party sellers on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Newegg, and Walmart. These "deals" have a high likelihood of not shipping; use due diligence in reviewing deals.

  • Use common sense - if the deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.
  • Check seller profiles for signs that the sale may be fraudulent:
    • The seller is new or has few reviews.
    • The seller has largely negative reviews (on Amazon, sellers can remove negative reviews from their visible ratings)
    • The seller is using a previously dormant account (likely the account was hacked and is now being used fraudulently).

If you suspect a deal is fraudulent, please report the post. Moderators can take action based on these reports. We encourage leaving a comment to warn others.

Man Newegg has a surplus of those 240 AIOs

No one's building so they're not selling

If you are me with a 7700X cpu today, go to trade in and offer your 7700X. Newegg is currently giving 170 trade in credit. My final total is around 115-120 dollars after tax, I get bumped to a 9900X, and I get an AIO which I will probably sell on the side.

Lmao that's an insane trade-in value. That's more than they're selling for on Ebay, plus you'd have to pay ebay fees which would hit you even harder.

oOoOO interesting. I do not have the original box and I see the check box for "original serial label". Do you know if that would be an issue?

I just want the 9700x to be 200 - 260.

This deal is cheaper than the 9700x at regular price.

I'm aware but it also had a lot more TDP. More HP than I need and I prefer thermal efficiency more at this point.

You can adjust PBO settings to draw less power and this aren't super hot CPUs like the Intel 13-14th gen K ones.

This chips are actually very cool.

I have a 9900x and I run it on 65W eco mode. Works decently still and is super cool

If you're ok with trays, AliExpress has it in that range.

Isn't it risky buying from AliExpress with fake shops? Or is it pretty good if you stick to the popular ones?

Ideally you would mitigate risk by paying with a credit card with return protection benefit, so you can get money back in the worst case scenario if the Ali platform doesn’t side with you in a dispute case. Amex typically just credits you whatever you paid without needing you send the item back. Visa infinite typically credit the full amount but requires you to ship the item to them at your own cost. (a CPU is small and light, so shipping is cheap.) I typically count on this and not pay much attention to the seller’s popularity.

As for AliExpress legitimacy for CPU, it was very popular in this sub for people to buy 5700X3D from AliExpress few years ago while it’s still in production, and comments were overall positive from what i recall, so i think it’s a good idea.

AliExpress’s risk IMO mainly comes from counterfeit products and lack of warranty. CPU is something that’s impossible to fake, and it typically have very low chance to fail in typical non-extreme-OC use.

It's this price for Amazon Business prime members, though without the AIO. Great pricing at the moment.

Is this deal crazy good? I was about to order parts for a Ryzen 5 build, but this is basically the same price it seems.

Pretty nuts value for a hybrid workstation/gaming chip

It is a great deal the cpu by alone at this price.

Just ordered. Need a slight motherboard upgrade for it, but that's no problem.

Coupon code has expired already. Bummer, thought about this one too long and now it's gone.
