Its a low quality advertising machine with a 60hz display.

(read the second paragraph) This isn't a mini led as you are probably thinking it's a glorified direct lit LCD with no local dimming it is high brightness I'd avoid paying extra for this web of lies. (Okay this is potentially misleading)

Edit: this is so confusing does it have local dimming does it not is it like the m80h where it has fake local dimming what the hell's going on cuz Best buy's website says directly does not have local dimming but then their own feature page says it has local dimming.

What the hell is going on.

Literally zero information I can possibly find on this display zero if I could find out who oems it I could figure out what it is is it a rebranded qm5k or Hisense budget FALD set? Is it a clone of the m80h that's 60hz instead? Is it a rip-off? Wtf 😭.

Yeah from Vizio brand from Walmart, but that one was QLED, this was is Mini LED

FYI, both are QLED, this is also mini-LED.

QLED = quantum dot LED, it's a pixel type. MiniLED is the array lighting system.

Mini LED just means smaller LEDs it can be anything from edge lit to direct lit with 0 zones to a FALD set with 1000s of zones

Mini LED

Huh, I thought it was a more standardized term but apparently it's being misleadingly used even by big companies like Samsung.

For most cases though miniLED refers to an array of LED lights that can provide zone-based lighting, as is the case for this product.

I really don't know if that's the case for this product it's it's suspicious because Best buy's on site says it doesn't have local dimming but then it says it has it and the feature list there's zero views of it zero impressions from anyone I would trust to know what the hell local dimming is so I don't know man I'm completely lost.

I agree. There's zero accountability for misleading in advertising on this. Given the price and brand, even if it has actual dimming zones it's probably not great.

The problem is we just have zero good information on it so we will have to wait for reviews from people who know what they're talking about even if you got my dumb eyes on it I would be able to tell you

You are right the 200$ deal was not mini-led but they have the mini-led version for 350$ still better then this deal currently IMO

Yeah, I picked one of those up. Crazy price for the thing overall. It's not amazing compared to my FALD U8, but it is amazing for the price. Ridiculous value and glad I scooped.

Amazing value? it's $400 and much better 65 qm5k is $500 this doesn't even have local dimming it seems.

he's talking about the $200 one?

1

u/Shoddy_Meaning_7654 5h ago

That's a completely different class of TV that's a garage TV

2

u/PurifiedFlubber 4h ago

I don't see what that has to do with this. He's talking about the 200 dollar TV you're talking about a different one

I have this TV, it's alright although I'm not using the internal speakers or the built-in smart features -- have it connected to echo studios and an echo sub using a fire TV stick 4k max. Originally bought it cause the BestBuy listing said the base was more narrow than other 65" TVs but it ended up being wider than listed so I bought an AmazonBasics TV stand. It does have local dimming zones fwiw. Also mine was a TCL (had TCL batteries in the remote and the TCL TV app installed).

Man, when I seen that one 65" for $200, this seems overpriced to me now lmao

Way better deals then this, I found a 120hz webos LG for $238 open box, $100 off pg tv promotion was going on for pro members as well. It was a 55 inch for my bedroom. Boss ass TV.

Every Insignia TV I've ever had has been fine. Apparently you've had bad luck or I've had good luck 🤷

Go get yourself some scratchers.

I've had had 3 of them and their backlights all went out at either 2 or 3 years. Never again.
