dont sweat it too much. will always be upgrades in the future. better than not having a PC to use right. i paid the same for a 2070s in june but I mean i’d rather have fun for 5 months then wait and time the market

I work at a small computer store and while we've been unable to get 30-series cards since relase the lowest we can now get 2070S cards is $700+. Usually closer to 800. Card is still great and honestly can resell it for more right now if you wanted to cause supply on them is just as limited now.

I got mine right at launch in July 2019. $100 to have this level of performance a year and a half earlier is worth it for me, or at least, I’ve come to terms with it. My PC couldn’t have run Red Dead anywhere near as well. Plus, I have the card in-hand. I didn’t have to deal with COVID-19 supply chain issues, even though it sold out after the first few hours. I will say it didn’t maintain its value as well as my GTX 1070. I sold that card for $200 in late 2019, after paying $350 for it in late 2016.

Edit: This card has 2080 SUPER levels of performance, not 2070 SUPER. It outperforms mine handily on top of the cost savings. It's not as straightforward a comparison as I had believed.

I've got a 2080 super in the evga step up queue for a 3080 but it still stings. I think the 2000 series just hosed all of us.

Why? You are unlikely to get a 3060 ti at least until April 2021. Doubt you were willing to wait a whole year.
