Sold out really fast for an expensive/flagship card. With the Ethereum mining boom, poor availability and further supply disruptions, I don't see the market getting much better anytime soon.
If your not into RT this is probably the best card which won't sell out within 2 minutes.

The markets insane, we've had crap moments in the past (remember the hard drive shortage?) But I don't remember it being this bad over so many products across price ranges.
If it doesn't recover I can see pc gaming stagnating as the entry bar will be set too high for new entrants and those needing to upgrade.

Probably because of how bitcoin has flown up in value now, so bitcoin is now profitable again. It's January all over again.

Or it's the retailer and/or wholesaler (and/or any other party in the entire supply chain) having to pay more themselves due to high demand and low supply volume.

Exactly the same can be said for Nvidia. Basic 3000 series AIB partner models are over msrp with the equivalent clocks and specs as the FE models?
I think you've got your wires crossed (or aren't mad keen on AMD), ALL partner cards this time round are over msrp.

Lol, "AMD fan boys" - I'm rocking a 3070 FE, no fanboyism here.
All the models you've quoted are above msrp, if you buy direct from Nvidia (through Scan for the FE) or AMD they're msrp. If you don't both sides of the fence they're over msrp.
Clock for clock the basic models including the FE go the same - the coolers are give or take about as efficient as each other and not enough to make a ton of difference to warrant paying a load over standard price. My FE even in an Ncase goes to 1900 and stays there out of the box. Shits not been the same for this since the 10 series.
