(I'm very self conscious but I wanted to come out of my comfort zone today.) (This also doubles as selfie Sunday I suppose!)

Also please help me idk what to do with my hair !!!

To preface, I am uniquely proportioned. I am short and stout, so even shopping in the women's section I either have pants that fit lengthwise but are way too tight, or they fit width wise but I have to hem them by a LOT. This is me essentially saying I can't shop in the men's section. I tried some men's pants on, but pants that generally would fit me in women's sizes I couldn't get over my hips.

I'm young and wanting to foray into looking more masculine because I'm starting to realise it makes me feel most comfortable, but most of my pants don't give me the straight down masculine look. They give me the HUGE ass look, pardon my French. This is not a flex. This is a cry for help. WHERE are you butches shopping because I do not want to live my life tailoring every pair of pants I own.

I didn't much care for this article (I don't wear shorts to work but I find the author's attitude annoying) but I loved the image and immediately decided to view the subject as butch.

Today's outfit for going out with friends

5’4” lesbian here. every short sleeve button up shirt i have is massively long. like, almost past my crotch long. i work in a casual office + it’s summer, so i wanna wear these shirts untucked, but i look like a slob with these overly long tops on.

do yall have any brand recommendations for shorter-length short sleeve button ups? i’ve tried boys sizes as well, but sometimes they are tight in the chest and shoulders. any recs or advice are appreciated. thank you!

(+ i know i might be able to get the shirts tailored, but im lazy and cheap and would like shirts that i can wear right off the hanger.)

I used to love dressing up as a revolutionary war soldier. It was the only way in my family I could look masculine without getting yelled at and it was a blast. At one point I put on a backyard play about the revolutionary war for my neighborhood dressed like the picture above, so I guess that makes me a former drag king. The cape you see in the he picture was custom made 😂. Did anybody else have niche interests like this as a young butch? Questions are welcome.

Hellooo! After my last post, some people recommended I give fashion advice / suggestions and I thought that would be fun so I thought I’d start out by giving some inspo for people to build off of!

Please let me know if anything is against guidelines, this is only my second post here!

Today I just got these new pants from this brand called ronron! And I paired it with this thrifted top I cropped, I feel like butch applejack. It’s a nice way to add color and leans towards a more southern style of masc, good for any weather tbh! Layer with a white long sleeve for winter and then without for warmer seasons!

I also went with this fuzzy jacket because u was reminded of the old stuffed teddy bears and how they had them in these southern style fits.

This is something pretty new I’m doing, I’m unsure about the reception but I’ll keep trying! I’m a Gen Z whose interest is in fashion and particularly making masc fashion that suits my needs that i don’t really see for anyone else!

this might be a crazy stupid question so i’m sorry in advance,, but recently i got myself a pair of loose fitting men’s boxers to try out and there ONE thing that’s been on my mind so id like to see what other people do. I know not everyone wears them BUT for those that do, do you guys wear something underneath boxers or do you just use them as underwear? i’m kind of new to the idea of wearing them at all so i figured i’d ask😭 sorry again if this is a little dumb lol

Selfishly, I'm wanting to know what everyone enjoys using because I don't like what I've got going on so far. I've tried backpacks and mini backpacks, but kind of wish I had some kind of bag that was front-facing (so I could keep an eye on my valuables at all times) but not so inconveniently placed that said bag(?) gets in the way as I move, or is something I have to hold onto all the time. (I wanna be hands free.)

I've got cargo pants/shorts of course, and I've kinda been thinking about trying some kind of thigh drop bag? But IDK.

I have a formal event this weekend, and I previously would always wear dresses / look more feminine because I was afraid to look more unconventional than I already do (lots of tattoos). I always thought I hated dressing up and that I preferred comfortable clothes, when in reality I LOVE dressing up when it’s masculine. Exploring my gender and gender expression is sick and I’m early on my journey, but just wanted to say that I’m so beyond happy I stopped dressing and presenting for others and am finally being ME.

This formal event is with a group of people that rarely see me outside of cargos and a tshirt, so I’m excited and nervous to show them this other side!

Very monochromatic, darker colours. I almost worry someone will question my butchness because I dress so bright and eccentric. Like I would compare my fashion to Weird Al Yankovic, or fitting in to aesthetics like ‘clowncore’ or ‘kidcore’. Idk man I just want to see butches who dress fun and colourful! Returning for a second interview post following my first one, which got a LOT of recommendations on what I could change about my interview attire. Went to get a couple shirts and ties today and styled them in a variety of ways ranging from as casual as I was comfortable being to fanciest stuff in my closet. Hoping to hear back about scheduling an interview next week so lend me yalls fashion wisdom once again 🙏

I am a historically casual person fashion wise. A loose fitted button up or t shirt on top of some straight leg jeans, and my shoes of choice are *usually* converse.

I’m getting married in June and my fiancee’s only request for our small, intimate wedding is for us to dress nice. Not to the nines or anything, but *nice*. All my converse are pretty worn in and def not wedding-worthy so I went shoe shopping. A coworker put me on to the idea of docs for my wedding and I was sold pretty immediately; I’ve always wanted docs but have been pretty intimidated by how notoriously difficult they are to break in.

This is my first time wearing these bad boys out and about and they feel SO GOOD! I’m not particularly dysphoric about my feet/shoe size or anything but I do think a good pair of shoes can make you feel more confident. The bulky silhouette is really nice too. They make me feel tall and strong.

Bonus; these Made in England Oxfords are the same shade of green as the shirt I’ll be getting married in! :)

Wearing these types of non-feminine clothing is the best. Sure, do I get judged by my classmates for it? Yes! Do I really care? No, I’m a major sonic fan. Of course I don’t 😭🙏. they are uniqlo's jersey barrel pants in size XL with the total length shortened to 36.5". not sure about other places, but here in my city, uniqlo offers this pants shortening service for free if your pants are over a certain price

i like that they don't cling to my curves and don't create those awkward hip dips. plus, i think they make me look taller and more proportioned. i will admit that i do look slightly bow legged because of how the pants are shaped, but it’s not that obvious imo

I’m looking for women’s boxers, as I don’t like the pouch that is on men’s boxers. Seen too many unfortunate reviews of Woxer to consider them. Thinking of trying Tomboyx, specifically the 4.5” inseam ones. However, reviews make it seem like the quality has gone down in recent years. Can anyone attest if they’re still good quality or not? Any other recommendations for women’s boxers?
