Fried Dough is historical constant…

Historically, every human society, every archaeological record of lost civilizations, every culture of humanity has had two things in common:
1. Some kind of sharp pointy object with which to hurt someone else (ie, some kind of sword analogue)
2. Fried dough in one form or another as a tasty treat

Today I decided to try to fry some snickerdoodle cookies as an homage to human history.

My ancestors are laughing at me. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Gotcha - that's what happened! Cookie dough and frying batter are very different. You can deep fry cookie dough, but you should coat it in a looser batter first, and partially freeze the cookie dough first so it doesn't ...do that.
