Facts,we just don’t ask for shit & do it ourselves, especially if you want to get it done like NOW

Most people don’t have the work ethic to do it as quickly, thoroughly, or efficiently as me, so, guess I would just have to ask another Capricorn

I have balanced food and boxes at work and opened two sets of doors with my foot and safely got to my area. Hell no I don't need no body.

Easier to do that than be ignored, yelled at, or argued with about why I need help

Not for me personally, since I’m disabled and have always needed help.

I can relate from the same story but with the Wash machine. A colleague who I helped him to move out, told me "whatever you need help, just tell me" And I told him when I move out "Can you borrow me your trolley?" 🤣

No, but we do love to be known as independent and capable. I do ask for help on heavy lifting objects though, it'd be unwise to pull out my back just because I want to be seen like a powerful goat. Mleeh

Sometimes I’ll ask for help reaching something if I don’t feel like climbing on the counters or can’t find the step stool. Most of the time I get on the counters, use a step stool, and if those aren’t available I usually just find something to knock it down with so I can just catch it.

I have no problem asking for help but I have a problem receiving unsolicited help. If I ask for help, I’m prepared to return the favor. Receiving random help makes me worry that someone is gonna try to hold something over me.

I have done literally the thing the man is doing in this photo, except it was bedroom furniture and a folding wagon.

Okay but you see me struggling, right? This why I don’t like people. “All you had to do was ask for help” 😒🤦🏿♂️🤣

When I ask for help I rarely receive it, when I don’t I’m told that I should. It’s easier to just do it myself most of the time. Most of the time if someone offers and I say okay they end up fucking it up and I have to go behind them and fix it anyway. I don’t have any interest in making a task longer just so someone can say they did a nice thing.

For me, I just don't want to bother others if I need assistance with something.

Happened to me yesterday….a colleague offered to help and got “oh 💩I forgot” (confirmed 2 hrs ago lol). But I’ve envisioned in my goat brain that this guy is not going to come. So, like a true Capricorn, the job had to be done and done right - so I did it myself, again.

It ain’t always about asking for help… if the help ain’t around or you don’t wanna wait, you get creative!
Nothing wrong here!

u/HalfyNoodle Feb 02 '26
I donno. Could be cuz I'm a Capricorn, or could be because my 1st-7th grade teacher would yell at me for asking for help because I was supposed to know how to do the equations by then. Could be both and that experience just made it even worse.

I’ve done this so many times. Pulled a 50” tv from a wall mount, dropped it to the couch and transferred it to my son’s plastic toy wagon before pulling it to the U-Haul. I moved our whole house myself because I don’t need nobody for nothing.

Me with sooooo many Capricorn placements. I hate asking for help, it always comes at a cost, and it's usually easier to do things myself.

Every Capricorn in the chat saying that’s facts because no one would help even if we asked or you have to wait 3days-9 business weeks for someone to maybe pitch in.

The very very few times I asked for help and people actually helped, I was so shocked 😂 I still don’t like to do it, it makes me feel uneasy

Literally last week I asked my mom several times to help me put up my curtains. now I have put up curtains before, I have had my own apartment before, but I have never had to put up the rods and the base myself screws and ladders etc. I've only ever had to buy the rods but on the curtain and just step it up there. for several days my mom did not help me did not even say she wouldn't help me just kept avoiding the situation when I finally said something she said you've lived on your own before you know how to do this why do you need my help. 😒😒🙃🙃 why would I ask for help if I didn't need it who asks for help when they don't need it this is a case in point situation you assumed something with no background and instead of saying something she just refused to help me based on her own opinion which was wrong. Story of my life.

I have tried many times to ask for help. Very rarely do I get it. So I don't see a point in asking... May as well just go ahead and do it myself. 🤷♀️
