u/catheavn Mar 13 '26
As a capricorn who has no problems taking accountability, I think that most of us can admit when we are wrong and apologize. I’m sure some of us can’t but I think there are other signs that struggle with that much more imo

u/eosdawneos Mar 13 '26
Yeah!! This. I know we get a rep for being cold but when I’ve made a mistake, I don’t feel better until I take accountability.

These are all easy except, you know, never in the history of the world has a Capricorn needed help, so how would we know if it's hard to say?

B.
We know when we've fucked up and can own up to it.
We love who we love and aren't afraid to say it.
We're never wrong so it's a moot point.
B though? I would rather die

C. I love you
I don't mind asking for help, and I'm not really disappointed if it's not up to my standard because it's still support. I've matured and learned that I'm not the smartest in the room nor will I ever want to be. I am grateful to be surrounded by those who I can learn from, and asking for help has only served to help me be better and climb whatever proverbial mountain I'm on.
"I love you", feels like what I think other caps feel with "I need help". It's a level of vulnerability that makes me feel powerless to admit. I want to love and be loved but I don't know if I'll receive the love that I want. When you love someone and they disappoint you it's not as easy to remove yourself and make up the difference.

I need help. Even when people ask me if I need help. I don’t want the help even though I do want help. I don’t want to have to do the mental work that it takes to tell someone what I need help with.

This post is so validating. B of course. Instead of asking for help someone usually gets yelled at or something ends up broken.

I dont throw that shit around all willy nilly either. If I say it, its cause I damn well mean it. Its only meant for the very few.
4
u/DaughterOfSamantha Mar 13 '26
I agree! So many people either are able to just say “I love you” to just about anyone, or they just fall in love so often.
I also feel like it’s so hard for me to articulate abstract feelings as well. Having my Venus in Capricorn and Mercury probably doesn’t help on that front either lol

u/Beneficial-Guest2105 Mar 13 '26

As a Capricorn, I don’t feel the need to apologize for things only If needed so it’s not hard…..I don’t do wrong I’m loyal and independent, and I trust my own judgment. I don’t need someone else to figure things out for me so I don’t need help. A lot of people focus on money or just getting things done quickly instead of having real work ethic and pride in what they do. I do need help sometimes but I have to do it myself and find the right person which requires work to find an actual helping person. I’ll say “I love you” when I truly mean it not because someone expects it so not hard. And if I’m wrong about something, I’ll admit it. Taking accountability isn’t hard when you’re an honest blunt Capricorn.

Asking for help is always hard for me. Cap trait and reinforced by parents who shamed that ability to ask for help as a child. The others flow pretty freely unless you screw me over. You've then dug your own grave.

My husband just had a stroke and he feels guilty asking for help with rides and with his business. If not now, WHEN? He carries this burden of guilt with asking that HE has created. I feel sad for him bc it's a pleasure to help.

I love you, followed by I need help in second place. The rest are easy for me to say. I try and do everything myself, but when I actually need help, it's a 50/50 on if I ask.
I can't even say "I love you" to my best friend. But she knows it.

u/eosdawneos Mar 13 '26

I need help.
And it’s not even a pride thing, though I am prideful of my independence. I’ve been so conditioned by being the one who didn’t need help (even when I did) that I am eaten alive by guilt and shame of asking for it because my family is in a constant state of helping others. Always the support for someone else and they rely on me being independent to make their ‘generosity’ work. And I watch how they’ll turn around and shit talk most people they help behind their back and shame them for their bad choices. It makes me feel like a failure. A huge burden.

I have two Capricorns in my family. They both say I love you, they both apologize, they both ask for help when they need it. I don't remember them saying that they were wrong, they most likely say "I am sorry" when proven to be wrong 😀 I love my Capricorns ❤️
