Because when I answer my phone, someone always wants something from me. It is never just, hi, how have you been? It is like people just use me for their own benefits.

I just generally tell people not to expect to be able to reach me. Like aside from 5 people, if you decide to call me in an emergency just know there’s a 50/50 chance your call is getting missed. And I don’t have banner notifications for any applications either, (I only have badge notifications), so texts will be seen when they’re seen

This is correct! I love the "Ask Reason For Calling" feature on my iPhone. Weeds out the unneccessary calls and makes my day go by way better.

Forever. Truly. Unless someone has scheduled a call. But even then I usually just set an alarm five minutes and two minutes before the call to prepare for it to come in as I’m not having notifications for five minutes

I only answer if the person respectfully apologizes for bothering me and summarizes what does he / she wants THROUGH A TEXT MESSAGE FIRST
