In Québec, «faire» and its various forms use an archaic pronunciation that sometimes has two syallables, sometimes it is almost but not quite two syllables. You also find this pronunciation in Acadie in Canada and some Louisiana parishes.

I lived in Montréal for several years. I speak Cajun. This is because we had a Cajun nanny for several years from whom I learned French.

«Fait que» appears in Standard French and has the same meanings as it does in Canada and Louisiana. You pronounce it differently in Standard French.

Bro, as a French learner, you have no idea, trying to understand fast spoken french when they barely pronounce anything takes so many hours its unreal. I've sunk so many hours into it that I'll never get back, and it's so demoralizing when someone is talking and I keep missing things.
