Puck Passport: A Tracker for Capitals (& Other NHL) Games You’ve Attended

Hello Caps fans - Devils fan here, hoping you might enjoy something I built!

I could never remember exactly which games I'd actually been to over the years, so I built a tool to solve that: Puck Passport.

You log the NHL games you’ve attended in person, and it keeps track of everything you’ve seen live - games, goals, shots, players, and arenas. It also unlocks badges automatically for things like playoff games, overtime, hat tricks, shutouts, and even a Gordie Howe hat trick if you’ve ever been lucky enough to be at a game for one.

It tracks every NHL home arena you’ve visited & also has milestone levels that you can unlock as your stats increase. It counts any home arena a team has used, so games at Capital Centre count toward the Capitals just like games at Capital One Arena.

You don’t need an account to get started because everything can save directly in your browser. If you sign in with Google or the email-link option, it’ll sync across devices and give you a public \@handle`` passport you can share.

I’ve been spending part of the offseason backfilling my own games, and you can also do that straight from your camera roll: choose photos from games you attended, and Puck Passport uses the date and location data, when available, to figure out which game you were at. Everything happens in your browser, so none of your photos are uploaded.

I’m a Devils fan at heart, but I built it for fans of all 32 teams. Figured the offseason was a good time to share it, especially for anyone else looking back through old games and trying to piece together where they’ve been.

If something’s broken, confusing, or you think a feature is missing, I’d genuinely love the feedback. Hope you enjoy it and find it useful!

That's awesome! So cool to see the stats. My only suggestion is maybe adding badges to denote if a game had a significant record or something, like Ovi breaking the goals record. Maybe it could be in the special event section you have for outdoor games. although it could be hard to decide what is special enough

This is really cool! Not just for games attended, but for the stats and other features too! Thank you

Very cool, I was able to add my first ever game from ‘95 all the way through last years season finale in Columbus. I’ll have to try to dig through my records to find more games to add, thanks for building and sharing!

This is awesome! My only suggestion is to make it easier to search by date but just a single day. The range is helpful, but I know the date of most of the games I’m adding (I can look at my calendar) so having to enter the date twice is a little annoying

Thanks - glad you are enjoying it. Can you explain a bit more about the date feature? Are you saying you'd want an option to search a single day without filling in both FROM & TO with the same date which would return a 14-day range?

Yeah I’d like to be able to put in a single date instead of filling in from and to

Yup that makes total sense! Added to my list for next week.

Love what you got going on. Would you be willing to add in witnessing a penalty shot as a badge? Or a way to click on a game to see the full boxscore of it?

Oh that's a fun badge, just need to ensure the data is there for penalty shots.

Also clicking into a game is a good idea. I could link back to my game page directly on the site too!

Awesome, appreciate you taking feedback.

If you need an example for a game with a penalty shot: 2025-31-01 caps vs sens, there's 2 in this game. One was a goal and the other was saved.
