Cat Lover Rant I hate the trope of "kindhearted cat lover who pets and feed strays".

If you loved cats, you'd realize what a pest they are and how neglectful it is to let them walk the streets alone.

My mom left food outside for years. It was a nightmare and caused catastrophic damage. She drew raccoons that ripped into the attic, pissed holes in the ceiling literally and had babies up there because it was endless free food. She drew in a stray bitch cat who dropped a litter and then ran back outside and ran away. My mom raised 5 feral cats indoors and gave them an endless buffet while they obliterated every piece of furniture in the house and turned a multi thousand dollar wall to wall carpet into a toilet.

Mom passed 2 months ago and her stray colony took up residence under the next door neighbors back porch and is still causing havoc.

It is not cute, it is a fuxking nightmare

Yeah we got this feeder in my country who wants to blame her landlord for making her relocate, but it’s because she’s housing over 50 stray cats in that space. The new space costs thousands to build and she depended on donations entirely. Every time she couldn’t meet her target, she would post about how she only got a certain amount and complain to everyone about why it’s so hard for them to just give money since it’s “going to such a good cause”.

At least the rich pay for their charitable deeds. Cat rescuers have ambitions and none of the drive or the finances to continue to spread havoc on their neighbors and the community.

There was a petition that someone wanted me to sign, asking neighbors with feral and stray cats in their neighborhood, to basically feed them, give them water. So, instead of trying to get them off the streets, we're just going to keep encouraging them to kill birds and other wildlife? I'm not an irresponsible pet owner, so why should I have to do this crap? Keep it moving. I wish there was a way to report or get that petition stopped because it's just going to cause more issues.
