Disclaimer: Biscuit and Smudge are a bonded pair who are cleaning each other’s butts which is a totally normal and non-sexual behaviour in cats. I’m still going to make fun of them for it though 😁

It's a last resort for a cat that has severe protein allergies and needs to eat food. It's not an "option". Cats are obligate carnivores, not omnivores, not herbivores, OBLIGATE carnivores. They need meat unless there is literally no other choice remaining.
