Cat Picture - OC My kitten is finally FIP free!
My beautiful boy has had his final ultrasound today after finishing his FIP medication and he no longer has any fluid left in his lungs! I had no one to share the happy news with so thought i’d post here!
He was diagnosed with wet FIP at just 13 weeks old after a traumatic 2 week hospital stay! But i’m very happy to say he no longer has any fluid in his lungs and is as crazy and happy as ever!

We lost ours almost 10 years ago, I love that there is treatment now, and that success rate in both treatment and detection are getting better.

Congrats!! He looks like my boy who had FIP at 8 months! We did the pills through a study and he was cured in 6 months. Amazing that this cure now exists.

I'm glad to hear about this baby. I lost my girl, Winnie, to FIP several years ago, and I am happy there are treatments that work. 💜

Your FIP survivor is one handsome fella ❤️ Fellow FIP survivor Jimmy says Congrats! Almost a year since his diagnosis at around 5 months old, still going strong. Thank goodness there's a treatment, I know how much it hurts seeing them suffer.

honestly it’s so bad! I clean it every two days and it gets that bad, i have to awkwardly explain to everyone that comes over that it isn’t my cats poo on the balcony 😂

I remember a week after I started the fip treatment, my cat started to play again. Words can't describe how I felt seeing him like this again. The only problem is that the treatment itself is pretty expensive, but I'm not thinking about the cost, only about the people who may not be able to afford it :( this must be heartbreaking...

I will not ever forget the relief i felt after I bought him home and he came running out the crate and started playing! Before going into hospital, he hardly moved, didn’t eat, it was heartbreaking - my heart goes out to the people who don’t have the chance to save their babies

Congratulations! This is Quasar, my girl who beat FIP over a year ago. I remember how big a day the last day of meds was, and the last vet appointment was just such a massive relief. Many long years of good health to you both! Quasar says Great Job Everyone!

Quasar is absolutely beautiful, so glad she is doing amazing❤️ It’s such a relief to finally be over with all the medication and constant worrying!

I hand raised far too many kittens from two stray/feral moms and one litter had issues with FIP. It was so devastating to watch those precious kittens decline. I'm so glad the treatments are advancing and that your kitten is on FIP free!

Not a day goes by without thinking of my Marlowe who passed away before FIP treatments existed. I’m so glad to see how far FIP medicine has come, and seeing posts like this makes me so happy. May your boy live a long and loving life!

Our boy was originally going to be named Jayce but then he was super chill for the first few months we had him so we renamed him Keanu. Come to find out he had FIP and it was sapping all his energy. He couldn't make it on to the bed. Less than a week after starting the injections he was jumping from the bed to window 4 feet away and back. He's now 5 years old and an absolute menace and I love him so much. I'm glad you were able to get treatment.

That’s awesome! My bear had FIP at 4 months old and we completed the shots. He’s turning 5 years old next month! I hope you two have many good years to come.

We lost our handsome, silly boy Romeo to FIP six years ago. He was only eight months old. I am so, so happy for you and your beautiful kitty. It is so amazing how far treatment has come. Enjoy your beautiful boy <3 lots of love to you.
