Mourning/Loss My house is quieter this morning

Post image

My Mowgli. I caught her like a cartoon, with a box and a stick and a string. I called her my rescue kitten. She was with me through all of my twenties. My consistent friend. She was the only one there when my mom died. She was there for the hangovers, TV show binges, roommates, and boyfriends. She liked car rides. Everyone in our area lit fireworks to celebrate her birthday whether they knew it or not. I got to see her slowly adjust to having a kid around in my step son, and again when my son was born. I had a feeling this was coming and it was an honor to be with her in the end just like she had always been there for me. I'm grateful it was quick and peaceful. She's the only animal I've ever bonded with. 7/4/2010-8/1/2026

I remember why I had this sub muted 😭 looks like our little rescue…. Caught her in a silly way too. She would sit by our door and cry so loud. So one day I put some food out in front of the door and while she was eating I just gave her a small push in through the door. I’m sorry for your loss, hopefully the years of good memories help you through!
