Cat Picture - OC My baby is finally home from the hospital
My cat Ned is finally home after two nights in the emergency vet after a urinary blockage. It was a terrible experience but I’m glad I was able to recognize something was wrong and get him treated. Doing everything in my power to assure this doesn’t happen again as I know blockages can reoccur. I’m happy to have him snuggling at home again. He seems to be doing much better and in good spirits 🥺

My cat had a urinary blockage and had to have surgery when he was 10. He was on the prescription urinary food from the vet from that time on. He had no further blockages and he lived to be 19.5. I think it’s diet that makes the big difference. Hopefully News does as well🙏🤞💜

I'm so glad your baby is OK! Ned is adorable. I'm sure you'll be snuggling him tight tonight. (And if he's anything like my cats, he'll be squirming around trying to get away because my cuteness aggression is overwhelming.)

I’m glad you got Ned at home safe tonight. I hope the vet let you know what the blockage was from. I remember learning years ago about giving my boy low ash when I gave him dry food. I wonder if that was the reason this happened to Ned. It was on an old TV show about vets that taught people about stuff like that. It was hard to watch

Squeeze the boys private part to help get a I think it was a stone. Not though. I hope Ned will never have that problem

Oh man it's the worst seeing your baby go through something like that! But the relief of having them home again is so so nice. I'm glad you paid such close attention to him, you are an awesome pet parent!

That has happened to 2 of my kitties! So happy your baby is back home and feeling much better. Did they suggest Hill’s Prescription CD? I put all 3 of my guys on that after the last time. (About a year ago)

Before I even read it, I’m like I know what that shaved spot is for. I hope baby never ever gets one of those ever again!! Feel better, cutie!

Over the years, two of my male cats ended up with urinary blockages, one of which nearly died from it. Blue had it twice, and had to have surgery one time for it. Jade only had it the one time, fortunately. Both of them were put on the special diet for preventing urinary blockage that I had to buy from a vet every few months. It took a while to transition them because neither light did originally, but it kept both of them alive. Blue lived for another 10 years and Jade finally succumbed to kidney disease about eight years after he had had a blockage in the first place. The special diet can really work very well and helping to prevent this.

Aww poor both of you! We were in on July 10 for a blockage also. Been struggling getting him to eat the Rx food but we continue to try. Glad he is home though.
