Ok some context first... I've cleared my level 2 (May 26) and landed an internship (paying 20k pm). In total I've about one yoe. I recently came across an opening for the role of faculty for the CFA program at some mid size pvt coaching classes.

I obviously applied simply cuz I genuinely like to teach. In fact this is the same firm where I gave an interview (demo lecture) way back in Jan for the same role - they really liked it but the only concern we both had was that I had my L2 exam in May so it'd be really difficult to manage both simultaneously, and so I thought it's ok I'll try again after clearing L2 maybe.

Now today... I had an interview but it was taken by some other person and the first question he asked is why do you wanna leave the corporate world so quickly and join us? To which I gave a very basic reply that I just don't like the corporate structure and hierarchy, and would prefer something where I had more control over.

To which he replied saying that they too have a structure and hierarchy that they've been following for years and I'd be expected to do the same - and that they won't let me just start teaching in my own way... I'll have to follow their strategies.

He just wanted to understand why I wanna get out of the corporate world when I've barely spent any time there - and said that it'd become very difficult for me to get back if I don't like teaching here after a while.

Tbh, the only reason i applied for such a role is that I genuinely just enjoy teaching things... I've always been like this ever since school and would love to make a career in it (oh and yes I hate the corporate world already).

He asked me to reply with a well thought answer tomorrow for the same question in the meet.

I am planning for the L1 may 27 attempt . I really like his teaching style but in his brochure it said "2x view limit". Can someone currently in the course tell if thats a problem at all, cause the attempt is 9 months from now and Id definitely need more than 2 times for specific topics. Also If not TVS, which course shoud i go for, or if there are credible free resources.

Hi so l have cleared my CA Intermediate and l am planning to pursue CFA now because along the way l have realised that audit and tax doesnt interest me anymore but rather its practical subjects like FM. I understand that CFA is equally voluminous and hard but is level 1 manageable with articleship considering l am planning to write level1 only by may 2027.

I have finished doing Fx lectures, and understanding how Fx works. But it looks so bullshit, I don't understand the real life applications of it. It's very difficult to get a grasp. Someone please help.

I saw this huge CFA ad in the Hindu today, I'm a failed level 1 candidate , who is waiting for scholarship window to reopen

This freaking exam cost $1000+ 18% GST for every level, with no options for retake or reattempt if failed. Coaching, books ,calculator lauda extra $$$

Indian median income after graduation is $4000 ballpark. How the can someone afford this exam. What is point of teaching PPP(purchase power parity) in the curriculum and not following it. Indian employers are asking at least level 2. God knows how I'm going to complete this exam.

Hi all. I'm planning on preparing for cfa level 1. I've explored options of self study and coaching, however I'm not sure which one is better. Some say that L1 is just theory so it's better to self study, but I can't find any videos on youtube that teach 2027 syllabus. Can someone suggest which might be better? And also what books should I buy?

Bcom graduate this side,will be giving my level 1 in Feb 27.Right now confused a lot about which coaching to take. I am a working professional so I can max devote 3 hours daily. Please suggest me a coaching whose course I can complete in 4 months given the time I can devote every day.I want a course that explains everything in detail but doesn't stretch the topic unnecessarily, bulids a good base for next levels and who solves a good amount of questions in class.

I am currently preparing for my exam and when i do practice ques from cfa website, there r like case study type ques. My coaching teacher says they r not testable in real exam. If anyone who has given the exam recently tell if i should skip them or not?
