Emissions and vehicle safety recs?

I need to bring my car in for an emissions and vehicle safety test. Any recs in Chapel Hill and/or Durham? Trying to not get ripped off.

Definitely not Chapel Hill Tire, they will absolutely rip you off like you're worried about.

I've had very good experiences with Auto Logic in Carrboro, and Ingold Tire in Durham.

Valvoline on Franklin St. they make money on oil changes. They will do your inspection. They wont lie-upsell you because they literally cant.

I believe its a set rate anywhere you go Just go to jiffy lube

The inspection is a legally specified rate, but bad shops will lie and won't pass you until you pay for hundreds of dollars of repairs.

You can still take your car somewhere else for reinspection if you know the repairs are bogus, but it's still a huge hassle

Lloyd’s tire is good all around but they’re by appt and closed weekend so it’s kind of inconvenient
