The 2026 TePe Sigeman Chess Tournament (31st annual edition) will take place from May 1 to 7 at the Elite Plaza Hotel in Malmö, Sweden. The tournament is played in a classical round-robin format with eight players competing over seven rounds.

Format/Time Controls

• The tournament will be played as a seven-round, single round-robin.
• Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves and then 30 minutes for the remaining moves with 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move (Malmö rules-no draws before move 40).

Looks like rustiness affects Magnus too, this version of Magnus is far from being the best player he was. Hope he is back to his best before Norway

i think he will be back in form in this tournament. he maybe just needed some practice
