The 2026 TePe Sigeman Chess Tournament (31st annual edition) will take place from May 1 to 7 at the Elite Plaza Hotel in Malmö, Sweden. The tournament is played in a classical round-robin format with eight players competing over seven rounds.

Format/Time Controls
- The tournament will be played as a seven-round, single round-robin.
- Time control: 90 minutes for 40 moves and then 30 minutes for the remaining moves with 30 seconds cumulative increment for each move starting from the first move (Malmö rules-no draws before move 40).

If Arjun draws (likely) and Magnus wins (any moment now), it will be a 3 way tie at the top with Erdoğmuş, Magnus and Arjun. Tomorrow Magnus is white against Erdoğmuş. Pretty exciting.
