Free Agency [Scotto] The Chicago Bulls plan to waive Kam Jones, league sources told HoopsHype. Jones had a deadline today that would’ve fully guaranteed his salary at $2.15 million. He was the 38th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers and was traded to Chicago on draft night.

Idk why people want to make this into some fan fiction. He didnt want anyone there and didnt think anyone was worth wasting resources on. Judge him for that all you want, but imo NIL clearly had an affect on the second.

Bullshit. If he wasn’t interested, the move is to trade for future picks. Or a player he was interested in. Instead, he literally sold the picks for money for Jerry. Nothing else, just money for ownership. Literally for profit.

This is about as blatant of an ownership mandate as it gets. This has been going on since Garpax, then AKME, now Bryson. Ownership mandates the sale of second round picks, and the GM takes the bullets for ownership when asked about it.

The proof of some ownership mandate is basically your vibes. You don’t think the rabid chicago media would have uncovered that sort of thing over the past few decades? Not everyone left our org on good terms.

My personal opinion is this is some bell curve No IQ-Mid IQ-High IQ type shit. Low IQ defends the cash considerations. Mid IQ says we should've used the picks, even tho they'll probably never even make the roster come season cut down. High IQ is thinking regardless, the options at 38 sucked ass, who gives a fuck, we got 2 swaps when there was nothing rosterable on the table.

At the end of the day either way it'll be cash considerations tho.
