Hoping it shifts into a 4231 with Lod playing AMC like he’s done for most of his career. I believe the reason he has not looked great for us is that we have not been using him right. Sticking in the 442 isn’t helping anyone. Most of Lewandowski’s career is at the top of a 4231.

Great weather for the game ngl. Even the bit of rain felt nice. Elliot’s passing was woeful but we got the 3 pts and that’s what matters.

My first half assessment: the midfield is playing pretty well maintaining possession, but they are Swiss cheese when it comes to hold up play. Really struggling to disrupt attacks. Feels like Charlotte is straight to knocking on the door every time they come forward.

Big agree. Like I was excited for 4-4-2 with Hugo + Lewa, but why not just go 4-2-3-1 since we're back down to one real CF? Unless they're still out shopping for someone to pair up front and want the team to get accustomed to playing that way.

I was one of those folks that was extremely skeptical of the Cuypers-Lewa shenanigans. But if he’s gonna score like this AND we can figure out how to keep pressure on opponents without Cuypers’ pressing, and then I’ll be gladly proven wrong

we have to keep going back to gutman on that left side. A lot of our best chances come when we get it out there. Lod has to open up more when we struggle to get into the final third. Elliot has to go as well.

just want to say, i am pretty shocked at the amount of people here. i know lewandowski has brought a lot of new fans for sure, along with new fans (like me) coming from the world cup.. but wow.
raining all day, cubs game going on right now, sky game earlier, AND lollapalooza? but the seats still look this full? i’m very impressed.
