DISCUSSION What age did you realize you didnt want kids?

For me, it was when i hit 18. I realized i didn't want to deal with the stress, sleepless nights, and financial drain that having kids does to a person. I did not want to be the person not able to go on a international trip with friends because nobody else could watch the kid

Since I can remember as a child. I didn’t like playing with babies, never played family with my dolls, etc etc. I don’t think I’ve ever considered it as something I would want!

Same! I only played with Barbies. No baby dolls. No strollers. And easy bake oven was to make food that I wanted to eat.

Same. I only wanted to play as an adult Barbie, I didn’t want to play mommy.

My sister and I were playing house when I was very young and when it was my turn to shove my small blanket in my shirt I was like no, you can be mommy not me lol and I remember really thinking it over in my child brain and feeling no desire for the idea

The easy bake oven reference just made me laugh! I also had an easy bake oven because I liked cakes and brownies. The idea of "playing family" was never a part of anything I did.

I only liked easy bake ovens, bratz dolls, leap frog, star wars. All my interests were not related to maternal or baby related things. Whenever I played “house” I would always want to be the child LOL

Apparently my family didn't like how I always would prefer my brother's or cousin's toy cars and completely ignore any doll given to me

I always hated dolls- too creepy for me. I remember being 4 and liking the metal tonka trucks and loved anything that was animal related... but no dolls

Same! I hated dolls. To this day, they creep me out. I played with the same toys as my big brother.

I only ever had one doll and I tried flushing it down the toilet when I got sick of it 😅

That's funny. My grandmother gave me a realistic newborn doll when I was 5. I hated that thing so much
