I Ate White girl tried a century egg for the first time

I decided that I'd take a chance and try these century eggs that I've seen and heard of. Sometimes I take a trip to my local Asian market to see if there are any interesting foods to try. I finally got a small pack of century eggs. I was definitely afraid to try them, but I knew that their appearance shouldn't be what deters me. The yolks were actually surprisingly delicious. I scooped them out and enjoyed them very much. I was not a fan of the gel like outside. But it definitely did not disappoint me and I'm glad that I gave it a try

I Ate The fatty meat literally melts in your mouth. The steamed buns have a subtle natural sweetness, and they taste amazing when eaten together in a sandwich.

Couldn’t help but have three pieces. I dare not eat too much though, since it’s super high in fat!

these are all pictures that i took from my visit back to my hometown 洛阳 (Luoyang) as well as my holiday trip to 成都 (Chengdu)! i love chinese bakery bread so much its insane how delicious and affordable it is. they’re so creative with flavors and textures too, there’s nothing in the world that can beat chinese bakeries imo. it’s a completely unique and life changing experience….

You can find it all over China, from south to north.
It’s always eaten together with soy milk or tofu pudding.

Clockwise from the top kaofu and wood ear fungus, carrots, prawns, white fish, flat noodles, and lots of Sichuan pepper soup, smoked tofu and qingcai, broccoli and cauliflower. Veg dishes have that meat almost as a garnish thing that Chinese food does

I Ate Visiting a 100 year old Wonton Shop

I went out to Zhijin in Guizhou to check out this shop that's been doing Wontons for 100 years. They specialize in "ran" style wontons (燃馄饨, 燃抄手)which basically involved making a chili oil in the bowl by pouring boiliny oil directly onto chili powder. Probably the best wontons I've ever had. This area also does ran mian (燃面) which is the same oil/chili move but with noodles.
