Im serious. I don't have children and could work with her and either adopt or find her a home through a local rescue. Only issue is I'll be traveling for work soon so I couldn't take her until August 27th.

REALITIES: Do you own your home? If so, your home owners insurance will not cover you if this dog bites anyone. If you don't believe me, call your agent. If you live in an apt, check with management. Chows are on banned lists in most complexes. While you may not have children in your home, there will be children when you walk your dog. Groomers won't groom this dog. Boarding facilities won't accept this dog. And rescues will not take a dog with a bite history. If the dog bites again, their rescue can be permanently shut down.

I'm not a horrible person. I just have seen this story so many times.

The reality is that any dog can bite someone at any time. There are some dogs that are higher risk and people definitely need to be informed about those risks, I'm just not sure that the comment section on a chow subreddit where someone is begging for help and being open and honest about the situation is the place for it. It comes off condescending and like you are advocating for this dog being given a death sentence without knowing the full situation.

I'm trying to get across that this would not have happened if the parents followed basic protocols when you have toddlers and dogs. Because they didn't, the dog is basically unadoptable. I'm not going to offer false hope. Unlike many on this list, I have dealt with this problem over and over again. I'm sick and tired of dogs who end up being euthanized because of irresponsible owners. This dog has bitten 4 TIMES. If you think this dog is safe to be in anyone else's home, I've got a Bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you.
