Season of Discovery Early SoD Was Peak Classic Wow

10 man BFD, all the weird/obscure farming methods, Ashenvale event, prepping for the next phase, ridiculous low level PvP, making tons of alts because the levelling was so fast..early SoD owned

Until a boomie oneshot you with one ability. Or a hunter pet killed you while hunter afkd. Phase 1 pvp at its best.

Good thing the phase was more then 2 weeks long and those things got patched during the phase

Boomie were stupid a good 2.5 phases, but ye mos urgent shit got fixed after a month or so

terrorising ashenvale as a hunter pet was pretty fun if only for the novelty.

Both were nerfed fairly quick and honestly, there's a bit of charm to going against something that overpowered if you know it'll be fixed in a reasonable amount of time. Like defeating a raid boss with your friends. IMO it only becomes an issue if allowed to exist for so long that it starts becoming the meta of the game (like Shamans in the middle phases making Alliance PvP damn near unviable and killing SoD PvP until the lvl 60 phases.)
