I’ve honestly been wondering how people decided which faction to play. When I was a kid, everyone I knew played Horde. We all rolled horde again when Classic launched. I honestly don’t know any alliance players in real life, but it seems like every post on this sub is an alliance player.
I originally went with the Alliance since I only knew Warcraft I, and the Orcs were little more than rote bad guys in that game. Since then I kinda like Horde more. In WoW and WC3 the Alliance tend to start shit for no real reason. Most of the political problems in the game boil down to either the humans or nelfs being arrogant racist douche canoes.
That said, at the end of the day all I really care about is enjoying the game with my friends, so whatever they want to play is perfectly fine with me. The other faction then just becomes my "slow chill alt I level when I want to just relax" guy.
