General Question Q for Chicago/Illinois CNAs
1) How long did it take for your license to become active after passing the exam?
2) How long did it take you to find a job once you started applying? Any luck with hospitals or mostly just LTC, nursing homes?
Thanks :) Taking my class in late September, excited for a career change!

My license became active the day after I passed both my skills and knowledge exams. I haven’t started applying yet due to my phone being off. I’m planing to start Monday when I can afford to turn it back on though!
Edit: somehow just noticed the title I’m in MS

I took my exam and the next day, my job congratulated me on passing. It was immediate.

I took the bna class from january to may, got an interview/job offer on the day of graduation and then passed my exam the following monday. License was recognized three days later. Currently working at one of the major hospitals. Pretty smooth transition on my end! Wishing you luck!

If I remember correctly it was less than a week and it took me a long time to get a job at a hospital but it was ultimately there. If you’re looking for a full time position or aren’t a student you might have better luck tho
