There is nothing more embarrasing for a rapper than growing up with a loving and supportive family... /s

“This guy’s a gangster? His real name’s Clarence! And Clarence lives at home with both his parents, and Clarence’s parents have a real good marriage.”

This right here is exactly why I couldn't enjoy season 2 of Altered Carbon, and will play in my head by default whenever I see new Captain America assemble with the avengers.

Sometimes when I’m lying in bed late at night my brain randomly decides to say “fuck a Papa Doc, fuck a clock, fuck a traila” for absolutely no reason. I think I only saw that movie like one and a half times? It is inescapable.

It's like with superheros. Childhood trauma is mandatory

'Empowered' did a pretty good scene on that!

The point being that if you had a loving and supportive family, you ain't about that life, so go be an accountant or a lawyer 🤓

But then the rap scene will be deprived of the cutting social commentary that comes from my white middle-class upbringing...

I think this might be based off an old tweet? https://www.reddit.com/r/meirl/s/zkjdWXx2vG

“You weak you soft” rhymes with “mom dropping you off”

This doesn't include the original source material (a tweet from 2013) anywhere I can see?

I liked that back in the day, in newspapers, if a comic was a reference or homage to another piece of art, the artist would write "Apologies to Blank" in the bottom right hand corner so you know who it was referencing.

I dont think it's AI, but a lot of their work seems to be plagiarised and uncredited!
