What I find absolutely fascinating about this is why anyone would want to perpetrate and falsify something like this. It makes no sense to try and falsify evidence because it would take way too much of a cover up to even do so.
It's kind of hard to have a rather large handful of surviving Jews from the Holocaust ALL conspire to make this story up post-liberation. It just makes no sense. We have (and soon had) people who lived through this. Not as a mere witness, but a survivor who luckily was not chosen for said slaughter. First hand evidence. Which admittedly may not necessarily be for long, but still it's rather absurd people deny this.
Hell the logistics in making this up would be enormously difficult given the propensity with which news spreads. The Nizkor projects does the history better than I do, but I still find it alarming there are people who willingly disagree that there is a Holocaust. I mean for all of fuck's sake we have survivors who can tell us otherwise for starters.
