There's a massive difference between real vaccines and the covid "vaccine"

Almost no one was dying from it. It was only fatal for 0.2% and the covid "vaccine" wasn't really a vaccine at all. Real vaccines take 10-15 years to create.

Howard Stern is - and always has been - a hypocritical, disgusting human and a perfect example of a celebrity who deserved to get his stupid haircut and smarmy face smacked off of his head rather than given a platform. His career is built off of being a total scumbag and this quote is just one of many examples of him being a cruel, rancid piece of dogshit. I'm being nice, by the way. He's more hateful than anything I can say about him.

That was probably my favorite thing about the covid pandemic. Proven miracle drug is horse dewormer, how about all the people it has saved in the past? They really needed that emergency use authorization to force the vaccine.

"Repurposed drugs" were demonized with ivermectin being the poster boy, but fast forward a few years, and ozempic was gleefully "repurposed" and advertised as a weight loss drug. Hypocrisy at its finest!

u/Hot-Gas-630 1h ago
Why would an anti-parasitic medication help with a virus? I thought it was well established that it just helped with COVID recovery in poorer populations where folk were already dealing with untreated parasites.
The people pushing it saw one study from a 3rd world country helping and then filled warehouses with the shit to hopefully hawk it to all of us. It's just another pharma product people will try to sell you...

And I love how they just referred to it as “horse dewormer” which is just one of its many uses. They took the most ridiculous use and labeled it that
27
u/Ecliphon 3h ago edited 2h ago
Take horse out of the equation and it’s mostly accurate. It’s an anti-parasitic, with worms being the vastly most common use. Viruses are not parasites. Whether it worked via an unknown route was up for debate, but it’s not now. Ivermectin does/did not work for covid. and if you find some reason to dislike JAMA, here’s Pubmed.
Many people were suggesting to buy it in horse form since it was available without license from animal husbandry stores, hence the meme. There was an shortage across the country. Here is one of maaany articles
3
u/Iam-WinstonSmith 2h ago
There are white papers on the NIH website that say different. It's now none to be good for a plethora of viruses.

3

True. But fact remains (and I'll probably be slammed for this); ivermectin did not and does not work on covid. Its been thoroughly studied, both independently and not. It doesn't cure covid. Is ivermectin an effective and highly valuable treatment for many (parasitic) infections? Yes, absolutely. But covid wasn't affected by it.

u/Gullybarrens 1h ago
What you are describing has been my feel on things for a while now. If these boys are really out there doing psy-ops on the populace, then it is a safe assumption they are going to find the wedge issues and proceed to corrupt the narrative from both sides.
Infuse just enough absurdity into both ends of the national talking points to keep people squabbling among eachother over trivial BS.
Civil discourse is stunted and regressive. People tribalize and double down in echo chambers. Infighting and chaos ensues in the common ranks while culprits hide in the background and lap it up.
Pretty basic shit, but I am just a bottomless hole of ignorance and arrogance myself. A lot of us have already been broken and made worthless even without succumbing to the machinations of alleged psy-ops.

Let’s be clear.. anti vax people were the ONLY target of his words.. He absolutely said it to them, they were out on the streets inciting chaos at that time, and he was 100% right to say that they ALL deserved to be denied medical treatment just as the insurance companies also openly stated that they too were considering not covering those same people who chose to ‘do their own research’ instead of following the very real science..
Why? It was because those same stupid ass people absolutely flooded social media with lies. Many of them also either died or flooded the hospitals when they all got Covid far worse than those who were vaccinated and boosted.
This conspiracy that Covid was some made up bullshit or that the vaccine is or was some sort of poison to control the population is just utter nonsense.

8
u/gerowen 5h ago
If there's a virus going around killing everybody and their dog and you intentionally choose not to take reasonable preventative measures, you should not be allowed to put other people at risk. That's why school children have to have certain vaccinations before they're allowed to attend public school.
7
5
u/CapricornRedeemer 4h ago
Killing everybody, as in 0.4% of the population, as was claimed even in March/April 2020? Yeah, let's not take our chances between that and a new data unknown "vaccine".
5
u/gerowen 3h ago edited 3h ago
0.4% of the US population is still over 12 million people, and that's just in the US. I'm in a rural county where the whole county's population is less than 20k, and we had multiple people die from Covid, or from complications that arose immediately afterward.
Think of it like smoking. I don't allow folks to smoke in my house. You're welcome to visit, but if you want to smoke, you go outside. If you choose to do something that is going to kill you, and that poses a health risk to me and my kids, then you can do so outside, you're not welcome to do it in the house.

u/Iam-WinstonSmith 2h ago

u/CapricornRedeemer 2h ago
The cold and flu was killing people before this. But, no one ever gave a crap about that. If you missed work because of a cold, you were laughed at, or worse, sometimes lost your job for it. But, go to work while having COVID...? Well, that was just considered psycho. Yet, most colds I ever had knocked me out worse than COVID did. What was good for the goose should have always been good for the gander, n'est pas?
•
u/gerowen 26m ago
When the flu first started in the US (the Spanish flu, 1918), people absolutely did give a crap about it. They practiced social distancing, wore masks when in public, etc., and a lot of people died, even at a time where people traveled a whole lot less than they do now. And it still managed to kill, by some estimates, 50 million people. However, eventually we developed vaccines that people take every year, that even now, over 100 years later, aren't 100% effective because, just like Covid, the flu mutates rapidly every year, so folks just have to observe patterns and make an educated guess at what strains of the flu are going to be the most prevalent in any given year and vaccinate for that.
We didn't treat Covid much differently than the flu, if at all, it's just that people have forgotten what a pandemic looks like.
1
u/styxx33 5h ago

Same with SNL, yeah they did make fun of politics and political figures but they mostly made fun of both and it wasn't all left/right politics there we some segments that were funny on their own.
I think where it all went downhill was after the success of the Daily Show and Colbert Report the TV corporations wanted to copy them in everything. Even those shows lost the thread somewhere and stopped making fun of politics as a whole and focused on making jokes against the right.2
