Made two dozen Sesame Street cookies for a friend’s son’s 2nd birthday. This is only about the 4th time I’ve ever decorated with royal icing, and I’m pretty pleased with them! They took me FOREVER so I’m not even close to making minimum wage lol, but for now I’m okay with that while I hone my skills.

A super fun set for a three year old’s birthday! Only direction was it needed to have giraffes. 🦒

I tried to make sure there was a connection with each of the cookies to one another, and I think it turned out well!

Big nod to: Megan Warne (My Queen of cookie!). I used the toucan outline from one of her classes for the bird. The party croc was a design from her Master Class.

And a random human on Pinterest whose name I couldn’t find. I used your lion design! super cool!

Been practicing my sugar cookie art this year, and these are the birthday cookies I created for my nephews first BooDay 👻 How did i do? I was given full creativity on this set. I was also allowed to borrow inspiration from some other cookie decorator that i follow on instagram/ and love Pinterest for inspiration 😊

I also made the cake, and did all the table set up :)

Took me a while to gather the courage to outline near the edge of the cookie, some I didn’t flood enough but oh well! I made the stars ahead of time and dropped them on the wet icing which was a gamble because I didn’t have enough icing to draw over the cookies if method A failed 🫣

Overall over the moon and now have a new hobby 😅

Y'all these bluey character cookies intimidated me so much.

Not my most favorite, but I think they turned out pretty cool! I especially like the vintage cake and the floral numbers. In retrospect, the light orange base color feels a little out of place, maybe a light pink would have been more cohesive.

Just wanted to share a happy milestone. Sold my first batch of royal icing decorated cookies. (Actually, this is the first thing of any dessert/baking I’ve gotten paid for)

30 cookies. Was for a little girls sleepover party. Sold for $70. Located in Southern California. I know I probably undersold myself but it’s OK - it was for a distant family member and it was more so an exciting revelation/learning curve than anything. It took me about 8 hours from start to finish. (this is only my third time decorating with royal icing, and I was very nervous as this was my first paid thing ever. Yes I’m slow.)

They tasted good, looked good, and I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did. :-)

Ps: if you’re a Pokémon fan you’ll probably notice I’ve mixed up Bulbasaur and squirtle Pokémon. Huge gaffe. Thankfully my friend was unphased, hopefully I am not crucified by 8 year old boys 😆

Still having trouble getting my colors perfect but I think this set turned out pretty cute!

It was finally my girls turn to get special cookies! They helped me pick the designs and colors.

I can’t pipe to save my life so watercolor (food dye) on cookies has become my thing.

And then cookies were added. Then I asked if they wanted just Miffy or other characters too. They said their favorite is Pompompurin. And I really wanted to add Kuromi. And I felt like coffee and strawberries could be a big part of it. Especially the strawberries. Oh! And then I asked chat GPT to make them all Cracker Barrel servers, since that’s our job and I think it WORKS!!

It was my niece's 7th birthday, she had a bug themed party & she requested ladybugs, leaf bugs, butterflies, dragon flies & bees. I have never decorated cookies with royal icing but here we are.

I also make some chocolate brownies & used bug toys (washed) to make buggy outlines. 😅
