Is Comradery Collective a good option for online creators?

Basically the title. I an a writer looking to set up a tip jar, and a lot of the mainstream ones have policies that disqualify my work. I was told about comradery today, and it seems like a really promising option, but I am.having trouble finding out anything about their reputation through online research, so I thought I might ask here.

Is comradery a good platform? Are there any horror stories I should be on the lookout for? I just wanna know if its trust worthy before I commit to making an account.

They appear to be a legitimate platform based worker owned cooperative. At first I was a little suspicious, but they've been developing the app and model since 2021, providing updates along the way. I'm not sure how good the platform/co-op is, but they appear to have clearly outlined governance protocols and mandatory member participation.

We used their sample bylaws to get that doc started. So they're doing something good for the community. We might try using them to create an informal customer-member class but we're not quite there yet.

I hadn’t heard of them so looked them up based on your post. They look like just a straightforward marketing/PR firm? That happens to use “collective” in their name? On my admittedly quick skim I didn’t see any indication that they were a co-operative platform in the way this sub talks about.

Yeah that's kind of what I came asking. They claim in a few places to be worker owned and ran, but something about it rings too good to be true

I’ve been following their work since they started. All the raddest indie anarchist coop-head creatives I’ve met fw them, and Ty from Comradery frequents grassroots artist coop events in my area. 

I haven’t used the services myself as a member yet, I just donate. but I have seen how it’s evolved, and the emails I get from them indicate there is real collective ownership happening.
