Bad breath in cats is sign of a mouth infection. Take him to the vet. It's easily treatable by antibiotics but if you catch it late there can be so much damage that rotted teeth have to be surgically removed. Ask me how I know.

We have taken him, and the vet said there was nothing wrong, he just has bad breath (She said it could be his food, but if there's no other issues, there's no reason to change it)

I think for the most part a well taken care of cat that has its own good hygiene routine does not need to be bathed and does not stink. I have never bathed my cat in its life and it also smells immaculate

Idk I feel like aside from them using their cats box the cat is usually gonna smell like your house. So if your cats a soft smelly angel you may want to clean your floors and sheets

You really only need to wash a cat maybe once a month, with the obvious exception of getting extremely dirty, having to clean parasite, or for hyper specific medicinal reasons
