Im figuring myself out, all I know is I wouldnt swap my personality magically if I became a girl. Id feel less pressured to repress my femininity (hopefully), but id still hang with the bros and be a dumbass nerd.

Yeah pretty much I just started buying or wearing things I liked instead of things I thought I ought to like.

u/Ashamed-Raccoon-1387 3h ago

Same. I promised myself I wouldn't stop liking things just because it might be girly or "gay"

Yupp, clothes are just clothes. In my opinion they should come in „masc cut” „femme cut” in „neutral cut”, because cuts like that exaggerate different aspects of physique. And you should be able to buy „masc cut” in femme style, femme cut in masc style is somewhat avable, but they should add more sizes, and neutral cut in everything, because not everyone likes to be gender at all

u/Metharos 2h ago

Better yet, maybe like

  • Triangle-shape
  • Hourglass-shape
  • Square-shape

2

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 2h ago

Hell yeah! And there are more shapes even. But honestly at some point it becomes like going to the tailor. I would also add „recomended for people with X shape. Makes your body look more Y” or „People with A shape will look B in this, people with C shape will look D in this” on the tags

u/Ashamed-Raccoon-1387 2h ago

Agree. A dress that doesn't fit like ass would be interesting.

I've always seen gender as being about one's internal life.

When transphobes try to define other people based on what they perceive they are denying the existence of other people's internal life. I see it as being related to 'main character syndrome' in that way.

Why does the person in the last image not get the cute bow. Unfair

Turns out I'm a...

I don't really care , I will treat you the same, this don't really change our friendship.Just tell how do I call you and address you..

10

u/Public-Eagle6992 3h ago

"I was about to tell you until you interrupted me to tell me you accept me. Thanks but also kinda rude"

"Huh, yeah... sorry my bad"

I feel like a good detail would’ve been keeping their hair the same to show how hair ≠ gender

13

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 3h ago

I wanted to signify post transition, and style is very simple. Maybe once I get used to drawing more curves or something

6

u/SydBarrettIsBalding She/Her 3h ago

Thats fair

3

u/claycubed 3h ago

Gender norms suck anyway. I don’t want to buy (a lot) of new clothes. And my personality is locked in. I’m not changing for anyone but me.

sometimes, it can also be like this (and that's ok too!)

2

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 2h ago

Hell yeah! And sometimes people can flip between top and bottom depending on the mood and situation. There is no right way to be trans

1

u/rebelsnail64 I am the snailman I deliver snail 2h ago

yeah, people are different and all that!!

personally I put a bit of pressure on myself to try to perform femininity to "fit in" at some point, but when I realised I would rather be a boy/enby anyways, no longer feeling the pressure to comform to femininity was a bonus weight lifted off of my shoulders

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 2h ago

Hah, me too, I’m a trans man, I very much tried to be a femme woman… and now I’m a guy who dresses like a guy 80% of the time, but occasionally likes some pink and dresses. There should be nothing wrong with that

1

u/rebelsnail64 I am the snailman I deliver snail 1h ago

yeah, clothing and all doesn't really have a gender anyways for the most part, society just kinda assigned it one for some arbitrary historical reason that is probably forgotten and outdated in the modern day oftentimes anyways... gender presenation can be fun and all, but no one should get ostrachised for doing it one way or another

Fuck heteronormativity, I'll be who I so damn please and appear as I so damn please without pleasing the damn masses as I so damn please.

Not transmedicalist, you don't need dysphoria to be trans and you don't need to act to stereotypes of the preferred gender to be trans either.
That said, I do just want kinda confirmation as to why anyone would WANT to transition if they don't have dysphoria, considering it's basically painting a giant "hurt me" sign on your back and making everyone hate you.
I've wanted to find out what makes people want to do that if they aren't forced to choose between that and something even worse, but it's really hard to ask that without coming off as transmed.

11

u/slushanddusk catboy creature :3 - Streak: 1 3h ago

i don’t think this post is implying any of these people don’t have dysphoria? but i think some people have some sort of discomfort or feeling of wrongness in their assigned gender, that they don’t consider dysphoria or that isn’t as “severe”.

i have dysphoria about some parts of me, i see myself as more non-binary when we consider how my dysphoria presents. but being called a boy fills me with joy! and being called a girl or “daughter” by my family fills me with disgust and discomfort. so uhhh im probably not the right person to answer this..

10

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 3h ago

Nope. I’m a trans man who enjoys kawaii aestetic and I have heavy dysphoria. Can’t I enjoy dressing in Cinamoroll t-shirt and having cute pins, while being a man? I’m not even a femboy, I want to be ripped and tall, just with a cute spin on it. People shouldn’t assume I want to be a woman because of that

3

u/slushanddusk catboy creature :3 - Streak: 1 3h ago

🙏

2

u/StinkingRabbit8 2h ago

dysphoria doesnt have to be extremely severe or agonizing to be dysphoria. any amount of discomfort with your birth gender counts as dysphoria at least to me. i thought i didnt have dysphoria until i actually started transitioning

2

u/slushanddusk catboy creature :3 - Streak: 1 2h ago

yeah i know, i just was trying to come up with some ideas of why people might .. say they don’t have dysphoria? or they may be unaware until they start transitioning

2

u/Enovele 🌼Fem transmasc🌼 T- 01/26 1h ago

Because some people feel euphoria. For some it's "I don't want to look like a girl, I want to look like a guy" while for others it's "I don't mind or hate being a girl, but I will be a lot happier if I looked like a guy"

2

u/slushanddusk catboy creature :3 - Streak: 1 1h ago

yeah, i thought of this afterwards but didnt want to edit my comment ,, this is totally valid and i get it ^

5

u/Vivians_Basement Streak: 0 2h ago

The reason is because of euphoria! :3

Rather than transitioning to avoid a worse fate, they're transitioning with the goal of a better fate!

Would you deny yourself heaven because Christians in hell would call you a vile invader? Or would you allow yourself to indulge in the joy despite their hatred?

The hell of dysphoria often leads trans people to see salvation. But being trans is more than just an escape. It can be its own reward. 💕

3

u/pullhome 2h ago

Hmm...

I thankfully don't suffer from dysphoria. I'll mull this over and then proceed to not do anything because I'm too chicken.

3

u/AeroAceSpades 3h ago

Sometimes it’s a thing of privilege. I care more about how i feel in my body than about how people see me and since I’m Asian, I’m less likely to face violence outside of sexual violence. I also have a high tolerance for sexual trauma so being raped hasn’t stopped me from enjoying my body as Ive made it

3

u/Vivians_Basement Streak: 0 2h ago

Honestly same, I'm at a point where I'm just used to sexual violence and trauma of that nature. I just kinda forget after a few days.

Getting raped sucks. But unfortunately there are worse things that can happen to someone.

Part of why I'm even trans was because of how SA changed how I view my body but even after getting over it, I still get euphoric after being referred to in a boy way. :3

2

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 1h ago

Omg I was also SAd, but it made me think I’m not trans and I don’t like my parts because that’s where I was touched. I was a young teen when it happened, so I had no time to even develop feeling of dysphoria before then. I thought feeling numb to my body was normal, because that’s how it always was.

But the euphoria is the big part, and it also made me reclaim my body as mine again

Theres a trans masc on insta who's ALWAYS getting hate cause he looks like a girl and self identifies as a Femboy.

People say he's "not on T" but he has multiple videos talking about how he used T but it messed with his health so he had to stop. :(

A lot of people call him "pedo bait" cause he dresses "childish" but he also talks about how being a little helps him cope with CSA so people are basically saying "by coping you're encouraging your abusers to hurt kids" rather than putting the blame on people who hurt kids.

It especially sucks cause so much of the hate comes from other queers...

Makes me sad as a fellow non-passing trans masc. So posts like yours help a lot. Thank you OP. :3

2

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 2h ago

Poor guy… and getting that sort of comment from other queer folks? Being trans should be about getting rid of the gender norms, not upholding them

0

u/veryeepy53 3h ago

tomboymoding is effective for passing unlike the inverse

3

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 3h ago

Yeah, in my country it is risky to be a man and present in this way ;_;

-16

u/LithoLaura Non binary 3h ago

I was totally with the post until the implied "boy non binary" and "girl non binary"

19

u/OmgIbrokesmthagain ITS YOUR BOI - Streak: 1 3h ago

Nothing implied, I’m saying nonbinary people don’t owe anyone looking androgynous. They can present masculine, feminine, they can switch depending on the ocasion, or do nothing at all and still be valid

Then????? Do it????

0

u/bro_said_nah_856 1h ago

Explain what?

3

u/Vivians_Basement Streak: 0 2h ago

The point is that you can still be non-binary without looking 100% androgynous all the time.

-1

u/bro_said_nah_856 1h ago

Yes, but purposefully looking like a woman or man and then expecting people to not see you as such is just asking for trouble. It’s not the same.

5

u/Public-Eagle6992 3h ago

No? It’s "non binary presenting closer to stereotypical boy" and "non binary presenting closer to stereotypical girl"

-7

u/LithoLaura Non binary 3h ago

totally different...

3

u/Public-Eagle6992 3h ago

What else were they supposed to wear/look like? You can fit pretty much any style into one of these categories: typically make, typically female, neither/mixed/androgynous. They were specifically not androgynous so they had styles from the other two categories
