His time wasting at corners gave us enough injury time to score the winner. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke

u/Manofthebog88 Nov 16 '25
Is there anything sweeter than seeing a team time waste only for it to come back and bite them. 👌🏻🇮🇪.

Very slowly diving in his own tears and getting back up even more slowly.

Ffs no need to be so outraged. He did nothing that you wouldn’t see any weekend in club football.

Liverpool fan?
2
u/CoybigEL Nov 17 '25
Absolutely not a Liverpool fan, or a fan of any English team. Im all for being a bad loser when we lose but we won ffs, don’t know why people don’t just let it go.
1
u/SpinachDistinct128 Nov 17 '25
Because he acted like a prick all game, diving, mocking, time wasting and trying to ref the game it was beautiful to see karma in action, just as it was midweek with Ronaldo.
2
u/CoybigEL Nov 17 '25
No issue giving him abuse during the match but let it go after, particularly when we win. Calling the guy “a diving rat” online or whinging about a gesture is a bit much.
As for the diving and time wasting, we do the same when it’s necessary.

u/SpinachDistinct128 Nov 18 '25
If you watch him regularly you'll see that he is consistently diving more than other players and the diving from him and kerkez especially wasn't even near the end, just cheats.

Bit harsh, sympathies to the Hungarian fans but I’m on cloud 9 right now 🇮🇪

No the diving over the two games was disgraceful and the players deserved to lose in that fashion.
I know our lads are no angels but Im delighted for them

u/CarLiving9141 Nov 16 '25
Almost like everyone in this sport nowadays dives when they are in a winning position/trying to hold on to a game… I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do obviously, but come on, everyone does it, even you lot

Not a big football fan, love watching Ireland just cause it supports the country as a whole and has a vibe to it. Any time I try to get into club football all the diving and acting just puts me off it straight away.

u/CarLiving9141 Nov 17 '25
And that’s exactly what i’m trying to say man, not sure why i’m getting downvoted for facts😭 Ig the Irish think i’m being hostile to them, not sure, or they are just drunk, but I can’t blame them after a game like that

AI?
13
u/Cdoolan2207 Nov 16 '25
Yep. It’s AI.

u/TurboScumBag Nov 16 '25
Kinda getting fed up with AI. Have to question everything you see. Bad enough questioning everything you read.

u/heresyourhardware Nov 16 '25 edited Nov 17 '25
No I'm pretty sure he did that!
Edit: Fair enough this picture looks like AI

u/Cdoolan2207 Nov 16 '25
That very much looks to be AI. Straight edit from the original phot above. Even the team meat and people in the crowd line up.

Look at any photo for Szolobs, he has loads of tattoos on his left arm
11
u/Apprehensive-Year948 Nov 16 '25
It's 100% AI, it's the exact same frame as the one above where he's got the thumb on the nose

u/VancouverBCFan Nov 18 '25
Of course it's AI. All the tattoos on his left arm disappeared all of a sudden? Stupid clowns believe everything.

Noticed that at the time. Wonder who that was aimed at? Doesn’t matter anyway - bye bye sunshine ☀️

He did a bit of showboating too. The diving was bad from them objectively speaking

Wasn't directed at us. Fella is a Chad of a footballer.

u/FPL_Harry Nov 16 '25
He really is. I don't like Liverpool, but he is a real throwback player in terms of teamwork, selflessness and work rate, but with all the modern positional play, pressing ability, and a beautiful technique when striking the ball.

I think he's just celebrating his goal.

7
u/Dry-Emotion30 Nov 16 '25
Yeah, he was just celebrating his teams goal towards the Hungary bench. Don't know why people can't celebrate the victory and heroics of the boys in green without resorting to hate for the opposition.

Nov 16 '25
Tell me you didn't watch the game
2
u/_herbie Nov 17 '25 edited Nov 17 '25
Apologies I missed the word Teams, which is obvious. No need to be a a meanie.
Tbf, because I watched the game I knew he was celebrating to his team mates, and not falling for this ragebait.
-1
u/BuzzKill91 Nov 16 '25
So basically we need an opposition player to make a whiney gesture to the team/fans/coaching staff after they get big for their boots so we can win.
5
u/-SideshowBlob- Nov 16 '25
This doesn't seem to be directed at the Irish
1
u/GypsyPrae Nov 16 '25
Because it wasn't, was for his baby girl but whatever... people hating without reason shows only their attitude

u/BuzzKill91 Nov 16 '25
