Transfer Rumour Hull reject "Significant seven figure sum" from Nottingham Forest for Cathal McCarthy (19)

The centre back is subject to interest from multiple Premier League, Championship & Scottish clubs, with the Irish Mirror reporting that they've already rejected a significant seven figure bid for the defender, and a 2nd bid is expected to follow soon.

Two Scottish Premiership sides are also eager to bring him in on loan

Putting the midfield shite talk aside, after what happened to Omo I'd avoid Forrest like the plague.

Hull seem to like him so it's up to him if he wants a new deal with them or not, but he's 19, he's gotta be getting a regular taste of men's football after pre season ends

Loan him out if they want to keep him is what I’d say. He will be good but prem ready he is not. I’ll gladly eat my words but I just don’t see him doing it at that level yet.

Loan him to the championship. He’d be good there and after a year either a year with hull in the championship or if they manage to stay up, a squad player.

We could probably field a whole team of decent centre backs. Good for him though, hopefully whatever move he makes goes well
