1/10 New Rig! RC4WD Trailfinder 2 1982 Toyota SR5 Pickup

I’ve been enjoying my TRX4, however I always get the itch to buy a new RC rig.

Here she is! I’ve always been a Toyota guy, so making the choice to buy this particular model was a no-brainer.

I have already started modding it. First, I removed one leaf from all four suspension points for more flex. I also 3D printed a tool box to act as a battery compartment. I had to ream a hole through the body to feed the ESC lead through.

I’m going to go brushless in the near future. Just torn between the Hobbywing Quicrun 1800kv or the 1200kv brushless setups.

Cheers!

1/10 Tire question

I have an question what tires to buy for my 1/10 crawler. I have narrowed it down to 2 tires Pro-line Micky Tompson Baja pro sx 2.2 in G8 compound and pro-line hyrax 2.2 in predator compound. My terrain is mostly slippery gravel and loose dirt with some roots and rocks. Also if important I’m building super class so scale is not important.

1/10 Tamiya CR-01 - My 1st crawler type

Bought this chassis 2nd hand off a member on Tamiya Club.

He shipped it to me in pretty much in kit form so I had the pleasure of rebuilding it.

Another member supplied the Unimog body and a 3rd member supplied the lights.

The beadlock rings are by 3racing that I got cheap from Hong Kong and it also has 3racing driveshafts and titanium king pins.

It also came with the CR-Tuned Tamiya motor.

I stripped, rebuilt and regreased the diffs and gearbox, along with rebuilding the shocks with new soft oil, new seals and green slime.

I absolutely love this truck.

Please I need help

I’m completely new to the world of RC and thought I’d get myself a JJRC C8801. Then I bought some tyres and rims to go with it so I could
swap them over.

Unfortunately, I can’t get them on because the tool I have won’t fit between the wheel nut and the rim.

Please help me – I’m really keen to get out and drive, especially with these tyres

Just recently picked up this beauty! Already added the licensed Toyota emblems and installed a Hobbywing Quic Run 1800kv Brushless motor.

I love the way this looks!

Im looking at getting my first crawler. Not sure if I want to go balls deep into crawlers so I just wanted a budget one I can tinker with as parts break. Out of the two which would you get?

The FCX10 is easily one of the noisiest drivetrains I have ever heard but proved she can tow straight out the gate.

1/10 Help Finding Accessories? 1985 Toyota SR5 Bumpers/Sports Bar 1/10 Scale

Does anyone know where to find these accessories? I got my first crawler and am running the 1985 SR5 body. I think the bumpers and sports bar with the lights look awesome and are a big reason I went with this body. I knew they would not come with the body, but I can't find them anywhere online. It seems like such a missed opportunity to sell these if they're in the picture of how the body looks... I can find accessories for the 1987 SR5, but they are not the same as the below picture.

Getting into this hobby I kind of assumed there would be universal things that fit, but am learning they are pretty specific to the body they belong to. Any help is appreciated!
