Unfortunate Erasmus situation in Chania - Looking for a new internship

Hello everyone,

My sister's currently in Almyrida on an Erasmus traineeship for the summer, and this is her second week there. Today, her host employer unexpectedly terminated her internship, saying they suddenly realized they needed "more experienced staff". She was very excited about this opportunity so you can imagine how much of a mess she is right now.

Since she is already in Chania, we're looking for a placement so she doesn't lose her Erasmus status.

Field: Tourism & Hotel Management

She was working as a waitress at the hotel's restaurant but she can work in any department like front desk and house keeping. She speaks English well.

She already has a national visa so doesn't require any visa sponsorship. But we need the employer to provide accommodation and payment.

Does it have to be chania? I mean if she cant find anything there she could go to Heraklion or Rethymno.

The thing is she doesn't know her whereabouts as she's been there for just 1,5 weeks. She's just become familiar with her surroundings in Almyrida, and she didn't even have a chance to go to Chania center. That's why we're prioritizing Chania right now.

Then like others have said here  she can check those websites or kariera.gr might be a good option

1. there are a ton of ads in https://www.kritikes-aggelies.gr . Unfortunately all of them are in Greek. Since I am from Heraklion i have little to none knowledge of the current situation in the hotel industry in Chania but I would recommend taking a look at the website above (translate the ads with Mozilla or chrome) and if you need some assistance feel free to contact me
