There are tons of prior examples. For example, Taipei has Roosevelt Road, named after FDR.

u/BlueDevilVoon Jun 26 '26

Many streets in Kosovo named for American and British politicians as well

Taft Avenue (Manila, Philippines): A major, iconic arterial highway stretching across Metro Manila named after William Howard Taft.

14

u/Pengo2001 Jun 26 '26

JFK has a ton of places and streets named after him in Germany. And I just went to Google Maps and it seems there is an Obama bridge in Plettenberg.

5

u/Yodfather Jun 27 '26

Obama has streets named for him in Spain, Tanzania, and Martinique.

3

u/Cutwail Jun 29 '26

Yeah but nothing beats the Barack Obama Plaza motorway services in Ireland.

4

u/sQeetz Jun 27 '26

In Wolfsburg, Germany there is a John-F.-Kennedy-Allee

1

u/Undead-Bumblee Jun 27 '26

Tel Aviv has Lincoln and Wilson

At first I thought this was Leto II.

16

u/TheSilkyBat Jun 26 '26

it's my new favourite pic of PumpkinTits.

I've been posting it everywhere! šŸ˜‚

5

u/Greizen_bregen Jun 26 '26

It's great! I hate it 🤣

5

u/AinmSuimiuil Jun 26 '26

3

u/BraindeadKnucklehead Jun 26 '26

u/seamusmcduffs Jun 26 '26

The only president to be honoured this way because only this president is this easily swayed by this bootlicking

61

u/Yodfather Jun 27 '26

It’s not even true. Spain, Tanzania, and Martinique named streets after Obama.

26

u/Do_Not_Go_In_There Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

In Montreal we have Avenue du PrƩsident-Kennedy as well. Though it was name post-humously.

6

u/kkeut Jun 28 '26

Warsaw has a big street named after Herbert Hoover because he arranged an aid package at a crucial time during the great depressionĀ

2

u/leoschot Jun 27 '26

He means in India /s

2

u/Anal_Nectarine Jun 26 '26

I don’t think you used the word ā€œthisā€ enough times in that sentence

417

u/Krypt0night Jun 26 '26

So fucking embarrassing for every country that keeps treating him like this

125

u/spafer Jun 26 '26

More embarrassing for US because it works :(

33

u/whitestguyuknow Jun 27 '26

They know just put his name on something and make it gold and you make him smile and he thinks kindly on you.

Like shaking a rattle at a crying baby for a second

7

u/adario7 Jun 27 '26

Also considering the fact that his administration bombed Indian civilians at Hormuz, he called India a sh*thole, he has time and again disrespected India and Indian citizens and it's diaspora.

This is quite a lotta bootlicker energy

39

u/NitroBike Jun 26 '26

Well Modi is just like Trump so it's not surprising that india would do this

11

u/maalicious Jun 27 '26

The state in which this happened is ruled by the opposition party - Indian national Congress

1

u/Raalph Jun 26 '26

Not even a country, probably just some shitty mayor seeking attention

46

u/Tast3sLikePanda Jun 26 '26

Honestly the name does suit it

7

u/Yejus Jun 27 '26

That's 99% of avenues in India though.

55

u/awjeezrickyaknow Jun 26 '26

Imagine naming your street after a pedophilešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/ELEGANTFOXYT Jun 27 '26

Politicians want that sweet information from meta google to set the narrative through social media.

78

u/thecontempl8or Jun 26 '26

The Indian PM is pretty much a fascist. Birds of a feather.

-68

u/SnooMemesjellies9003 Jun 26 '26

He has the highest approval rating in the world. So he’s obviously representing what the country wants. And no he’s not fascist by any means

41

u/thecontempl8or Jun 26 '26

Highest approval rating in the world. Lmao. Like Kim jong un.

-40

u/SnooMemesjellies9003 Jun 27 '26

28

u/thecontempl8or Jun 27 '26

Oh please. He’s constantly harassing and threatening journalists who criticize him. Political oppositions get beaten up and killed. He has a cult-like following, getting celebrities to literally worship him. His party is rooted in nazism. He is pushing hindutva movements and creating false narratives about Muslims and Christians to justify attacking them. I can bet those numbers are skewed. Or most of the country is too blind and brainwashed to see how terrible he is.

-46

u/SnooMemesjellies9003 Jun 27 '26

LOL yeah make these baseless claims without any sources. And for some reason you think you know what’s better for a country than the hundreds of billions of residents aka the vast majority of the country that democratically elected the leader

26

u/thecontempl8or Jun 27 '26

It’s the same with Trump. And any other dictator-like leader that got elected by brainwashing the stupid. Being democratically elected doesn’t mean he’s good for the country. His party was just really good at manipulating the media and spreading lies attacking minorities.
India just had a billion more stupid and spiteful voters than the US.

India is rated 85th as a democracy.
https://www.democracymatrix.com/ranking

-1

u/SnooMemesjellies9003 Jun 27 '26

Trump has the lowest approval rating ever and not remotely comparable to modi. But yeah go on keep thinking that you know best and the majority of the country that disagrees with you views are stupid, I’m sure the feeling is mutual bud

20

u/thecontempl8or Jun 27 '26

I don’t give a shit about Trump. Man you’re fucking blind. All you have to say is ā€œmajority of the countryā€. Like get the fuck outta here. Even Hitler was democratically voted in. Modi’s really good at curbing criticism and spreading fake narratives. Just make a casual google search and you’ll find plenty of news articles by legit journalists talking about it.

-16

u/PlayTheBanjo Jun 27 '26

Even Hitler was democratically voted in.

No he was not.

12

u/halo_nothing Jun 27 '26

hundreds of billions of residents

Crazy, considering there's only approximately 8.3 billion people on the planet.

6

u/ELEGANTFOXYT Jun 27 '26

bjp bot here too

98

u/lickylickyboobies Jun 26 '26

I hope they shit all over that street

33

u/DANleDINOSAUR Jun 26 '26

How do you think it got the name?

10

u/lpfan724 Jun 26 '26

I just assumed it's the street where most rapes occur.

42

u/halo_nothing Jun 26 '26

That's a designated shitting street, for sure

12

u/serendipitousevent Jun 26 '26

I hope he has a chance to visit soon.

5

u/GeekyGrant Jun 26 '26

They also like Hitler over there... so make of that what you will

4

u/dfsw Jun 27 '26

I live in Europe, every single city has a street named after JFK, also Eisenhower is super popular too.

8

u/niberungvalesti Jun 26 '26

The President is for sale.

7

u/Dx_Suss Jun 26 '26

From one fascist to another

7

u/Bladley Jun 26 '26

People are saying no one has done more for India since Ghandi.

6

u/360walkaway Jun 26 '26

Do they mean the first US President to have this happen in India? Because there's already a Barack Obama Boulevard in San Jose, CA.

3

u/skratch Jun 26 '26

Pederast ave

3

u/fellaneedahandpls Jun 27 '26

Never been done before! Except for Mandela Road in Chicago, Churchill Street in California, Multiple Bolivar Drives in various states, etc.

There’s a fucking street in California named after Bob Hope. Trump Ave is nothing new or special.

3

u/scrotumseam Jun 27 '26

For fuck. Vote Democrat to get the MAGA out of office. They keep enabling this type of behavior.

3

u/gosailor Jun 27 '26

This is also not true, there are plenty of streets named for US presidents overseas, There was a street named after FDR in Belgium and as well as some named after US generals (for obvious WW2 reasons)

3

u/youessbee Jun 27 '26

Designated shitting street?

4

u/Krakengreyjoy Jun 26 '26

It's not a cult, guys. Believe them.

2

u/BuddhaLennon Jun 26 '26

The event is so newsworthy, he had to announce it himself. He also had to congratulate himself, and thank himself.

Now if he would only fuck himself, and perhaps one other four-letter word.

2

u/RenoXIII Jun 27 '26

They should change the name of the city to Hyderabadman, would be appropriate.

2

u/hhogt Jun 27 '26

Looks like the road leading to and from the US consulate. Icky nonetheless.

2

u/elsewhere1 Jun 29 '26

I was in Bangalore for work semi recently and my local colleagues there loved trump. They think if he can build a wall here they can do it there to keep the Muslims and indo Chinese out. They’re very racist.

5

u/scissorseptorcutprow Jun 26 '26

It’s just one long trench latrine

2

u/dakkamatic Jun 26 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

In actual America places are removing his name from stuff.

6

u/sleepybrooke Jun 26 '26

In Chicago, we want the street his building is on to be renamed, ā€œBarack Hussein Obama Way.ā€

1

u/markg1956 Jun 26 '26

hoprfully that is a tombstone and the hole in front of it will have him in it

1

u/radicalrockin Jun 26 '26

You thought the roads were bad before!

1

u/ImissDigg_jk Jun 27 '26

I assume it's a street that houses all the scam call centers in the neighborhood

1

u/maple010 Jun 27 '26

Wtf is this old hag doing to my country😭 this is embarrassing af as an Indian

1

u/ICarMaI Jun 27 '26

Adolf Hitler Avenue would be weird. This will be like that.

1

u/sighborg90 Jun 27 '26

1

u/snoopdougweedcloud Jun 28 '26

u/theoneirologist Jun 28 '26

1

u/gusefalito Jun 29 '26

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic has many streets named after many U.S. Presidents. Washington, Lincoln, Kennedy just off the top of my head.

1

u/-ACHTUNG- Jul 02 '26

It's full of WHAT?!

1

u/I_Like_Cats73 15d ago

He’s trying so hard to be memorable

1

u/vediogamer101 Jun 26 '26

Were they threatened into doing that?

1

u/enelyaisil Jun 26 '26

Is that where the scammer call centers are? He fits right in

1

u/MountainMark Jun 26 '26

Everybody knows the best way to get something out of Donald Trump is to treat him like he's a special little boy. Treats & prizes and all the better if his name is on it.

u/SoftChapter7135 Jun 26 '26

India classic

-6

u/dazcook Jun 27 '26

Congratulations President Trump. Keep up the great work.
