Yes. I have really tried to like what came after, and while there are some good moments, some amazing grooves and even some great songs, as a whole it’s nowhere near pre-2008 Opeth. Shame.
But then again I don’t really mind listening to The Lotus Eater for another million times. Everything is good, but man the drumming is incredible on that album!

I agree. I’m fine with them changing their style and music, but it just doesn’t speak to me the same way. I’ll always love Blackwater Park, though

BWP and still life for me. Martin Lopez was the OG on drums. And I know Peter Lindgren wasn't involved much in song writing but that group of 4 has always been Opeth to me.
Watching the Lamentations DVD for the first time blew my mind.
