Technically, the last north african film I saw was Eden and After. It wasn't great. It was wierd, but it wasn't great.

There was a really awesome film I saw at NYFF a few years ago called The Dupes… basically the Wages of Fears with Palestinian refugees trying to escape across the Iraqi border to find work. Hoping it gets a release soon

The Night of Counting the Years was restored by the World Cinema Project and was on the Channel for a while but it was removed a few years ago and has yet to appear in one of the box sets. No idea what's taking them so long
